Oh come on, Mourinho never said he wants Carvalho. Probably he admires him, he likes him, but there's a huge difference between liking a player and actually demanding him. Especially once you have some excellent CB already. Sometimes I think that people think that Mourinho is stupid. When you hear the media talking about Mourinho wanting Drogba, Mourinho wants Essien, Mourinho wants Carvalho....This is all media BS, cause if they really want to talk about what Mou really said, he said that he wants 21 players, and only 2-3 new faces. Now we all know who the 3 new faces should be. All the rest is media speculation.

Indiscrezioni rimbalzano dall'Inghilterra a Milano. Didier Drogba, che non ha mai negato di voler giocare a Milano, pare si sia accordato con la società di via Durini per il suo trasferimento in nerazzurro nella prossima stagione. L'Inter, dovrà successivamente mettersi d'accordo con i blues, con i quali stanno già trattando lampard, ma l'ivoriano è ufficialmente sul mercato. Nonostante i già numerosi calciatori in rosa, Mourinho avrebbe chiesto di affiancare a Ibra un calciatore che in assenza dello svedese possa fare la differenza. Troppi attaccanti in casa Inter, ma la prossima settimana cominceranno a sfoltire e i primi due in partenza potrebbero essere Crespo e Obinna.

In Portugal, they seem already convinced that Quaresma will come to Inter. They say that Porto's demand will surely decrease because of the bad Euro he's had. This newspaper - Correio da Manha' - also describes him as the best & most spectacular portuguese player in recent history.
I made bold his stats during these last 2 years with Porto - 14 goals, 38 assists!! Surely, Italy is much different from Portugal, but 38 assists and 14 goals is massive.

Ricardo Quaresma giocherà nell'Inter. Non ingannino i presunti problemi relativi all'accordo tra i nerazzurri ed il Porto di cui si vocifera in questi ultimi giorni. L'unico grande obiettivo di Josè Mourinho è Mustang e Moratti non ha intenzione di deludere il suo Herrera. Ulteriore conferma alle indiscrezioni raccolte da Tuttomercatoweb, arriva direttamente dal Portogallo, dove il Correio da Manhã da' l'addio a quello che descrive come il più forte e spettacolare giocatore lusitano degli ultimi anni, palesando la convinzione che le sue giocate, in particolare l'ormai famosa Trivela conquisteranno in breve anche il suo nuovo pubblico italiano. Nessun problema anche riguardo all'accordo trale due società, sempre secondo il quotidiano portoghese, l'ormai arcinota superclausola da 40 milioni di euro non è che un espediente utilizzato dai Dragoes nella speranza che il loro gioiello disputasse un Europeo da protagonista assoluto, ma il flop degli uomini di Scolari ha negato anche questa ulteriore possibilità di guadagno extra.
Sottolineate anche le grandi cifre di Quaresma, che nelle ultime due stagioni si è reso protagonista di 14 reti e ben 38 assist. Cifra, quest'ultima, che spiega molti dei motivi che hanno spinto Mourinho ad inserire il fuoriclasse lusitano come prima scelta della sua nuova Inter.

Inter seek Quaresma bargain

Ricardo Quaresma’s price-tag has dropped considerably and Inter could secure the talent for just £19m in the next few days.

Porto had raised his asking price to around £32m, but the fact he barely featured for Portugal in Euro 2008 lowered the winger’s profile.

It is now reported in Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha that the two clubs are close to an agreement that could be made official in a matter of days.

The 24-year-old still has a contract tying him to Porto until 2011, but is eager to test himself elsewhere.

He had been linked with Chelsea, but Felipe Scolari’s refusal to use him as anything other than a reserve in Austria and Switzerland this summer scuppered that plan.

Instead Quaresma wishes to reunite with his former Porto boss Jose Mourinho at Inter and his name was at the top of the new Nerazzurri boss’ transfer wish-list.

There are other matters the Beneamata must work out in the upcoming week to free up their transfer policy.

Frank Lampard has still not completed his switch to San Siro and there are reports new signing Deco is urging him to stay on at Chelsea.

Victor Obinna is waiting to hear whether he’ll remain in a right midfield position or be sold to Roma as a striker.

Luis Jimenez is still co-owned by Ternana and the Serie C side are digging in their heels for a very lucrative payment.

David Suazo wishes to stay at Inter, according to his agent, but is also of interest to Roma and Sampdoria.

Simao also tends to drop back and defend which Quaresma doesn't do as much and with Ronaldo on the other side of the 3 attacking midfielders, Scolari might of felt defensively exposed if he had both CR7 and Quaresma on at the same time. And obviously you're not going to put CR7 on the bench.

I'd much rather take his last 2 seasons as an indication of his ability then 1 sub appearance and a start with the second string Portugal team at Euro08. In the CL, his performances against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea were of the highest as well.
