Shield, we have no choice now but to try and look on the bright side. Kewell may do us a service. Just as long as he doesn't eff us up is my main worry!

Grasso, Mutu would fit our particular style very well, almost tailor made in fact. But since he needs megabucks to pay off Chelsea if the compensation story is correct, we can't afford to pay him...and in saying that, heaven help us, what's new?

I'm still hoping that Kewell will decide to stay in England, or to be more precise, will be told he's staying in England. For those who don't know, he is married to a slutty English 'actress' who used to be on 'Emmerdale' (a shitty English soap-opera) and has three young kids (with this particular slut, anyway), so I'm hoping his missus will tell him there's no way she's uprooting the family and leaving sunny ould Engerlan for rainy Rome. Right. I'm clutching at straws here, and any one will do.

I am avoiding commenting on our mercato as much as I can, for one main reason: my sanity. I will say, however, that I agree that Mutu would be a great addition to the side. Carlo, Mutu earns less now at Fiorentina then he could do with us, even with the 'cap', so wages wouldn't be an issue. My only reservation would be the amount it would cost for us to land him, and I wonder if that money would be better put to use on securing a 20-goal-a-season striker such as Huntelaar, which is probably more needed than another player who would simply fit our system well.

We've also been linked with Crespo again, who is now technically a free-agent after being released by Chel$ki today, although he has expressed his desire to stay at Intertina.

Shield, I know how uou feel. I watched that game when I was a boy. I was at home sick with a high fever and it really upset me in a huge way. Liverfekkin'wankscum has always been the team that I hated the most in any sport since that day. When we became linked with Riise, I was pissed. I didn't want anybody from L'pool. The thought made me sick. I kept telling myself over and over again that he has great international experience and could be a great addition but I couldn't convince myself. I've had to accept it. Let me tell you what has helped me and maybe it will help you as well. 1. We are not signing L'pool, we are signing a player. 2. These players are parting ways with L'pool, for whatever reason, they are leaving. In Kewell's case, he had injuries and Benitez replaced him. My understanding is that they still offered him a contract but Kewell CHOSE not to accept it and leave L'pool. In Riise's case, he lost some of his form and scored that fateful owngoal. In either case, what better way to stick it up L'pool's collective asses than to poach some of their talent that has not produced, let Spalletti work is magic and turn them back into two of the best players in Europe in their respective positions. We could be totally fucking L'pool for a grand total of 5 million and then laugh in their faces about how f'ing dumb they all are to let two talented champions get away like that. Hell, I hope we draw L'pool in CL and Riise and Kewell both score against them. Think about how sick you'd feel if CHivu and Mancini combine to lead Inter to championships. Now imgaine if they combine to beat Roma. Now multiply that feeling by 100 if Riise and Kewell refind their form and lead ROma to big wins and better yet, a win over Liverscumbag.
