this really pisses me off because it seems so calculated. i don't believe we ever intended to buy a big name striker this year at all. same with last year. it's not as if he just found out the club's financial situation (which isn't half bad, i might add). all this talk is just there to boost seasons ticket sales and i have had enough. i will not attend a single milan game next season if we end up getting jack shit in protest.

it all seems catered to appease the fans. but we dont fucking need appeasement. we just want results. we want any transfer to be for the good of the club, not to satisfy our football desires.

just get a fucking striker, get a gk and move the fuck on. add zhirkov to that and we'll have one helluva cocktail party next season.

yeah, i really like arshavin too. boy did the russians ever look good yesterday. i am really curious to see how they match up against holland. on paper you'd think these two teams are going to light it up offensively all game long.

the russians were extremely dynamic with arshavin back.

the teams the dutch have faced havent been able to match them in terms of dynamism, but i think russia can pull an upset, and im secretly hoping for one too.

The other results I expect Croatia to beat Turkey, Italia over Spain. Holland-Russia is a toss up for me (it may sound amazing, but I see it 50-50), I see it as either Russia winning it by an early goal or Holland taking it with a late winner.

As for the BF, clarity my ass. I agree with tec I think our season ticket sales will be down big time this year as I dont see the fans being fooled by the antics of Silvio and his bald sidekick

Of course like u guys mentioned, we should be used by his "X or nothing" comments which means nobody is coming. You can substitute whatever name for X, Im sick and tired of these assholes.

Adebayor demands Gunners exit

There are reports that Emmanuel Adebayor has begged Arsenal to be allowed to join Milan.

After links with Samuel Eto’o, Dimitar Berbatov, Mario Gomez and many more hitmen, Rossoneri Vice-President Adriano Galliani [pictured] has revealed that Togolese striker Adebayor is the only name on his shopping list.

However, the Gunners are determined to keep hold of the 24-year-old and sent Milan a fax insisting that he wasn’t for sale at any price.

But, in a new twist, sources suggest that Adebayor has sent a letter to Arsenal asking that he is allowed to leave this summer.

The Premiershit giants have reportedly arranged an urgent meeting to discuss the future of the former Monaco predator and may be ready to accept his sale.

Although Milan are said to be ready to table a sizeable bid, they may receive stiff competition from Barcelona, as sources suggest the Spanish giants have already prepared a £23m offer.

Manchester City are delighted to announce that AC Milan will be our opponents for this year’s Thomas Cook Trophy match on August 9th. Carlo Ancelotti’s side, which features the likes of Kaka, Gennaro Gattuso and Filippo Inzaghi, will visit the City of Manchester Stadium for the Blues’ final pre-season friendly, which will kick off at 5.15pm. Ticket details will be announced in due course.

City were the first English side to play Milan in the San Siro and leave unbeaten when they held the Italian giants 2-2 in a UEFA Cup tie in the 1978/79 season, following it up with a famous 3-0 win in the second leg at Maine Road. Links between the two clubs go even further back, with Malcolm Allison changing the City away kit to the red and black striped design in homage to the Rossoneri. you are right that this talk of adebayor or bust is a smokescreen....a smokescreen for not buying anyone at all. i would eat my hat if we actually ended up buying another top forward. i wouldn't believe the sun's report, though.

Why don't you have any faith in Uncle Fester's abilities, vtec? I understand that he's let Milan fans down season after season because of the lack of top class transfers. But the next season is totally different from the previous ones, simply due to the results the Daivolo achieved in the previous campaign. The apparent lack of depth in the squad will certainly force Galliani to break the bank. Actually he's obliged to do so.
