I'am really not sure about Riise here, he was a very good player two seasons ago, regardless of the team he was playing for, but then for the last couple of seasons, he was pure shit, his silly mistakes was horrible, but then paying 5 million Euro for a 27-year old with this expeirence, payed on installments for 4 years is quite a good deal, and we all know how Spalletti can revive a players career, so i'am not so pessimestic in the end about Riise.

Maro, yes I think it would be fair to say I believe in repentance and forgiveness, no question, but Redser has come out and said he is very sorry to be leaving the 'scum and he loved his time there and all that waffle, so for me, in this case, Riise can never redeem himself and never do good for us in my eyes, and thats not going to change. Perhaps Vargas is the Zambrotta of Bari. I just haven't seen enough of him to know for sure. For instance, I'd be very interested to know how they compare in terms of pace. Lord knows, Riise not a brilliant player, but how many full-backs are brilliant and is brilliance, anyway, what you really want from your fullbacks?
