yeah, i was a bit embarrased there late in the game with both toni and grosso clearly looking for an 'even-up' favour from the ref. i never mentioned it earlier because my energy was focused on berating donadoni after the holland game but rvn showed some real class there when he went around buffon and stayed on his feet even though a fall would have almost guaranteedthem a pk. i wish that kind of sportsmanship was a bit more readily used by some of our guys.

even IF you want to be sly about it, i think you need to pick your moments rather than continuously looking for non-existent pk's with every touch by a defender. it always seems to end up that when there is finally a legitimate foul (or even 50/50), the refs dont usually call it because they're insulted by the diving. cant say i blame them.

Shield, with Luca, I'm just talking about that one five minutes after the penalty at the other end - when Luca ended up getting penalised for handling the ball, I believe. He was impeded much more clearly - pulled back - than the Romanian forward on the penalty that was given. And 'tec, are you suggesting that DDR wasn't also superb in the first half? He and Pirlo ran the midfield magnificently in the first half.

I find it funny that the linesman can see Panucci off the field against Holland, but not a player on the pitch holding Toni in play

Either way, I still have faith...I think this team is capable of doing damage, we just need a bit of luck.
