La Roma smentisce la notizia [Roma denies the news] secondo cui Roma e Inter avrebbero trovato l'accordo [according to which Roma and Inter had reached an agreement] per il passaggio di Mancini all'Inter in cambio di Suazo (i nerazzurri avrebbero pagato la differenza di ingaggio: 4 milioni in 4 anni). Il via libera per trattare col giocatore l'Inter lo ha ricevuto nell'incontro di lunedì notte a Roma, tra Branca e Pradè.
Nel pomeriggio Branca a Romanews ha detto: “Oggi non ci sarà nessun incontro con Veloz. La Roma ci ha autorizzato a parlare con lui. Penso che ci vedremo verso la fine della prossima settimana. E’ un giocatore che ci interessa, anche se lunedì non abbiamo parlato solo di lui".

It seems to be a done deal guys. Maybe Mancini will do well at Inter under Mourinho. They speak the same language which is a plus I suppose. Where is Suazo going to play though guys? I mean, he certainly wants to start. I never saw enough of him so I am not aware of his positional versatility as a player.

ROME, June 12 (Reuters) - An American company has signed an agreement to take over Bologna and make the promoted side Serie A's only foreign-owned club.

A statement on the seven-times Italian champions' Web site (www.bolognafc.it) on Thursday said that TAG Partners LLC will acquire 100 percent of the club, valued at 18 million euros ($27.77 million).

It said the company will buy 80 percent in July and take the remaining 20 percent at the end of next season. The statement said the company will invest at least 20 million euros in the club.

Alfredo Cazzola will stay on as president, the statement added.

Bologna finished second in Serie B earlier this month to end a three-year spell away from the top flight.

They last won the Serie A title in 1964.

I'm not buying that denial. They wouldn't have allowed Veloz to negotiate with Inter, knowing what happened with Chivu, unless there was a deal in place.

Shieldy, you've been talking an awful lot about this Ian Harte character lately. Are you sure there isn't something more behind this....

"This Ian Harte character"... you're saying that like you don't know who he is, Chris. And here was me thinking you knew your football. Harte is up there as one of the greatest defenders of all time, alongside Maldini, Baresi, McGrath...
