Inter Launch Quaresma Bid - Report
News daily A BOLA reports that Inter Milan have signalled their intention to sign FC Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma...

The Dragons' star, who scored Portugal's third goal against Czech Republic yesterday, is regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe and his performances have attracted an array of admirers.

Quaresma has expressed his wish for a new challenge as he wants to experience Champions League football, which he will most likely miss next season at Porto following their one-year ban from European competitions.

The Portuguese paper says that talks between Inter Milan and the FC Porto star have already begun, with Jorge Mendes, representative of José Mourinho and Quaresma, being in the center of the negotiations.

However, it is believed that the Nerazzurri are baulking at Porto's asking price, as Pinto da Costa is unwilling to do business for Quaresma for a fee worth less than 40 million euros - the figure set in his release clause.

Quaresma, who has a contract with the Dragons until 2011, joined Porto from Barcelona in 2004 in the deal that saw Deco moving to Camp Nou.

Scolari Pushes Lampard To Inter
The appointment of Luiz Felipe Scolari as the new manager of Chelsea is likely to see Frank Lampard on his way to Inter Milan, according to reports in England and Italy.

Scolari, who is currently coaching Portugal at the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, was yesterday named as the new manager of Chelsea, and he will start his new job on July 1.

The first signing of Big Phil’s reign is likely to be Barcelona playmaker Deco, who is an integral part of Scolari’s Portugal team.

The arrival of Deco would almost certainly signal the end of Frank Lampard’s Chelsea career. The 30-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move abroad from several months now.

Lampard is hugely admired by ex-Chelsea manager, and new Inter boss Jose Mourinho, and reports in England and Italy say that the two will now be re-united.

The Nerazzurri’s primary transfer target this summer is an attacking centre midfielder, and Mourinho believes that Lampard’s prolific scoring record is just what the team needs.
