Se solo potessi fidarmi dei nostri baldi paladini frou frou e delle loro energie residue (perchè a sei giorni dall'apoteosi e dopo un mesetto di incubi il minimo sarebbe sentirsi, più che appagati, stanchi), esprimerei un desiderio strofinando la lampada e chiederei di vincere la Coppa Italia all'Olimpico in casa della Roma. Perchè la Roma, ormai da tempo, non la sopporto più.

E pensare che la Roma, al netto di alcune scorie etiche ed etniche, io la adorerei. Così italiana, così romana, così oggettivamente bella da vedere, così sfrontata quest'anno in Ciempions a differenza di noi. Ha fatto una stagione strepitosa, un campionato fotocopia del nostro (ci dividono giusto i tre punti dello scontro diretto), una rimonta a cui era difficile solo credere. Sarebbe stata una stagione perfetta, non ci fosse l'Inter.

La Roma squadra-di-calcio insomma è una bella cosa, ma la Roma categoria-del-pensiero non la reggo più ormai da mesi. La teoria degli aiutini e degli aiutoni - con alcune prestigiose complicità - se la sono coltivata loro con i due mezzi più naturali a loro disposizione: ottime entrature mediatiche e un'innata predisposizione al piagnisteo sistematico. L'operazione è riuscita benissimo, tanto che la squadra che più di ogni altra ha giocato partite in superiorità numerica ha saputo spostare il focus su un'altra (noi), riuscendola a dipingere come sottilmente agevolata, se non addirittura disonesta. E pur piangendo litri di lacrime, riescono a far passare noi come piangina. Bisogna dirlo: è fantastico.

Il capitano deferito per incaute dichiarazioni? E chi se ne frega: avanti così. Negli ultimi giorni De Rossi e Doni hanno detto ben di peggio: magari li deferiranno a Ferragosto e li multeranno a Natale: lo sapremo da un trafiletto a fondo pagina.

Vinca il migliore. E' probabile che i migliori siano loro, per un po' di ragioni. Bòn, ci rivedremo per la Supercoppetta. Però come mi piacerebbe vincere all'Olimpico. E come mi piacerebbe vedere due o tre bellimbusti lacrimare per una giusta causa sotto una pioggia di coriandoli nerazzurri al momento della premiazione. E lo dico non per un banale spirito di vendetta o di rivalsa (per cosa, poi? Lo scudetto è nostro), e nemmeno per la volontà di esagerare. No: solo perchè oggettivamente (così come soono belli) hanno rotto le palle.

Balotelli Inter Future In Doubt
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the future of Mario Balotelli at Inter could be in doubt as there have been problems during talks over a new contract.

The 17-year-old Balotelli is widely regarded as one the most promising young talents in the whole of Europe, and he has burst onto the Italian scene this season.

The wonderkid’s current deal at San Siro runs out in 2010 and he earns just €60,000 a season.

Inter are attempting to tie him down to a new, much improved, long-term contract in a bid to ward off interest from a host of European giants, including Manchester United and Chelsea, who are prepared to offer millions to the youngster.

Balotelli’s brothers and agents, Corrado and John, have been engulfed in contract talks with the Inter hierarchy, however the Gazzetta says that these negotiations are not going at all well, and are rather complicated.

Two more meetings are planned for Monday and Tuesday next week, but if these do not go well either, then there is the possibility that Balotelli may look elsewhere for another club.

You guys are probably right about the Matrix, he's Italian so we'll NEED to keep him. Last year he put it so many good performances that you could turn a blind eye to his behaviour. This year he was appauling and with all the crap he pulled on the field including the red cards, the play acting and the missed spot kick, it certainly infuriated me.

So Hleb is OFFICIALLY leaving Arsenal now. BUT, he won't be using the Webster clause to get out of there. Since he's stated he already wants to leave, a 12 million bid should be enough to take him from Arsenal IMO.
