Riprende la trattativa per la cessione della società: contatti incoraggianti fra i legali. Con l’ok del magnate americano l’affare si può chiudere in 48 ore

ROMA, 23 maggio - Roma-Soros, si ricomincia. I lega li dello studio Tonucci, che affiancano la Inner Circle Bank in questa operazione, hanno ricevuto ieri i segnali che aspetta vano. I legali dello studio Lovells hanno fatto sapere di essere disposti a rimetter si seduti al tavolo della trattativa, ripartendo da quel 17 aprile, quan do gli advisor di Soros erano convinti di poter chiudere l’operazione, salvo poi ritrovarsi di fronte a un improbabile rilancio da parte di una fantomatica cordata araba. Quel colpo di mano ha allungato di oltre un mese il possibile epilogo dell’ope razione, che adesso potrebbe vivere le fa si cruciali la prossima settimana, quando è previsto il ritorno nella Capitale di Joe Tacopina, il legale italoamericano che ha dato il via all’operazione sei mesi fa e che nell’ipotetica Roma che verrà avrà un ruo lo di primissimo piano. La prossima setti mana potrebbe tornare in Italia anche Ho rowitz, il rappresentante di Inner Circle Bank che quel 17 aprile incontrò l’avvoca to De Giovanni. E se tornasse Horowitz...

So it seems like Barzagli is being snapped up by fiorentina.. i always thought he had Juve rubber stamped on him.. he's gonna be a great signing.. why werent we ever the leats bit interested??

I like how Fiorentina goes about their transfer strategy.. wraps things up as soon as the transfer window starts.. allows the new players to have a full pre season behind them... not like Roma.. where we have players drafting in atthe last min

I wonder what Oily will make of that - I guess we're back at our 'a man who has not sinned is not a man' line of argument, though I suspect Hemingway is also saying something further about the manner in which true identity only comes out once the layers of propriety and socially determined decorum are stripped away.

It has been a very long week here. I always forget how busy it gets with marking and meetings and all sorts of irritating bits and pieces at this time of year. You make it through the teaching semester and for some reason I always expect the horizons to clear. Not for another couple of weeks, I guess, looking at the pile of exam scripts I collected this afternoon. Happy long weekend they seem to be saying to me in their universal light blue. Let's hope tomorrow evening can bring some entertaining distraction. I say we put another 6 past them.

Roma no closer to Soros

Roma have released a statement denying they have received any offer from Hungarian-born philanthropist George Soros. The Italian Press has speculated for months about the sale of the club to the American-based Soros, who famously ‘broke’ the Bank of England.

Giallorossi Face Injury Crisis Ahead Of Coppa Final

Roma are likely to field a weakened starting XI in the Coppa Italia final as several players have all pulled out with injury.

The Giallorossi clash with Inter on Saturday evening at the Stadio Olimpico as they tussle for the Coppa Italia. Luciano Spalletti's side however have been affected by injury with several players all looking doubtful for the big match.

Cristiano Doni is likely to miss the game after picking up an injury to his shoulder during Friday's training session and he had to leave the field.
