I'm with Briz on this one; this Inter team in Mancini's. Everyone can have their own opinion of him, but in any massive squad there will be egos that get a little too hurt.

It's true we fell over the line. And I have stated that in alot of my recent posts. But I think if you go back through the season we could quite possibly be the most unluckiest team in the world, along with Barcelona, due to the frequency and seriousness of the injuries sustained to our whole squad. All you have to do is one simple equation; we lost Samuel and Cordoba who are our first two choice CBs for almost half the season. Go to any other team in the world and do the same and I guarantee you those teams will collapse. Imagine Roma with Ferrari and Panucci as CB's for half a season, or Barca with Thuram and Edmilson, or Man Utd with Brown and Silvestre and it paints a very different picture.

To me, it was a tremendous effort for Mancini to deal with so many injuries to key players, the fact that we couldn't use his favoured 4-4-2 formation due to playing personel not being available, the media pressure that has been unbearable for most of the season and last but not least, the phsychological blow sustained by our exit from the CL (to Liverfekkin'wankscum none-the-less who apparently were supposed to be worse than Ascoli if you hear how the media portrayed the loss).

The bottom line is it was a great effort by the lads and if Mancini is to stay, he will get new players to substitute the dead wood we have and hopefully be a lot luckier with injuries and mount an even bigger challenge.

Also, this whole Inter got helped by the refs crap does not sit pretty with me whatsoever. I heard no one complaining when Zlatan was denied a clear penalty against Roma, when Crespo's goal was disallowed vs Atalanta for "offside", when Vieira was denied a clear penalty in the same game, when Camo scored from an offside position, when Ibra's goal was disallowed vs Udinese for a non-exsistant foul, and what, 12 red cards this season with roughly 5 being before half time?? A helping hand from the refs indeed...

No bickering here, Messina. The great thing about this forum is it never becomes more then a heated discussion between members which is most likely a result of most of us roaming the same boards for a good 3-4 years.

Secondo i tabloid, l'allenatore dell'Inter sarà senza dubbio il nuovo tecnico del Chelsea.

Uno scambio clamoroso di panchine tra Mourinho e Mancini? Pare proprio di sì, anche se lo scambio sarebbe solo virtuale dal momento che il portoghese non è più l'allenatore dei Bleus. In Inghilterra ne sono certi e tutti i tabloid lo dicono anche oggi all'indomani del successo nerazzurro: lo jesino arriverà a fine anno alla corte di Abramovich.

Le notizie si rincorrono con sempre più insistenza e l'accordo pare veramente ad un passo. Per enfatizzare la trattativa, oggi alcuni giornali inglesi hanno addirittura ribattezzato Mancini 'The Italian Legend'. Anche Grant, intanto, sembra sicuro del proprio destino: "Penso che il club abbia altre aspettative...".
