It is a shit day for us as none of the other results went our way

Having said that, with a good transfer campaign, we can win the scudetto next season. There's no team in Italy that is so far ahead of others and dominating. The dynamics of Serie A certainly give us a chance to mount a serious challenge at the title next season. We should not bother about the UEFA cup until the quarter final. We'll be be back to CL in 2009 and I expect us to finish top 2 in Serie A next season at the very least

There's little doubt we would've spent more this summer than the last few summers anyways considering that we did jackshit in the market for 2 years now....however, knowing this management, finishing 4th we'd probably do a bit of cleaning up and then plug the holes with some half-solutions and short-term answers.....so the bigger the failure the more reaction and fundamental moves we'd make....i'd be utterly bullshitting if I said im not disappointed that we missed out on CL next year, but a season in UEFA could be a blessing in disguise and just what we need to get back on our feet and start a new cycle for the next few years

I hope Galliani sticks to his word and does those changes and spends big bucks, this is a chance for him for redemption, he already said we'll keep 12-13 players and these, apart from Maldini who will likely stay on and Rino who will likely leave, are Kalac-Nesta-Kaladze-Bonera-Janku-Oddo or Favalli-Pirlo-Ambro-Seedorf-Kaka-Pippo-Pato. The rest will be shipped out

I think our team has enough leadership in the dressing room...none like Baresi or Maldini but the likes of Ambro,Pirlo,Nesta,Seedorf,Kaka,Pippo and Kaladze are all senior players and some of them really charismatic...I still think our long-term captain will be Kaka, and Ambro will likely be one for 2-3 years tops

guys, how vulnerable do you think we were when we played with 2 strikers today?

with only 3 spread out over the midfield, and not to mention seedorf who rarely ran back, it was rather scary.

but kaka' was running back as a RM, so he did his job. but it was hard to watch because we were leaving so much space.

that kind of formation needs a hustler like gattuso, ambrosini has some great positioning, but you need to be able to close down the spaces fast and thats where gattuso made his name.

but great to see cafu and serginho get a last run out. i wish them the best, and hopefully serginho can bring us some new brazilian talents.

Carlo never seems to realize that 1 fucking striker and playing a formation of 2 DMs is useless in 90% of Serie A games....specially at home...once we switch to 2 forwards we open up the others defenses....sometimes these conservative tactics really drive me nuts...thats why I dont wanna see Rino and Ambro in the starting lineup....one of them has to be benched/gone....our midfield needs an injection of fresh blood, a new element(Flamini)

shinpin, Flamini almost covers just as much ground as Rino (and he's 6 years younger) and a is a much more creative force.

Our midfield trio was at its best when we had Seedorf there a few years ago when he had the legs to play there....he's got decent defensive skills, immense ball control and vision to give us an element of creativity besides Pirlo...Ambro and Flamini playing with Pirlo will really give us that fine balance

I dunno about uefa cup next year, its a complex and unique competition, big teams seem to falter against those teams who are 4th, 5th and 6th in their leagues, well see how we react in UEFA cup when were playing a semi vs. everton instead of a magical night at the san siro angainst man u in the CL how can players find motivation. At least were a LOCK for the scudetto next year
