Actually the only reason I like him is that his name is an anagram of dwarf seed. Not that I've ever quite managed to figure out what dwarf seed is - small seed? or ordinary-sized seed which just never happens to grow into anything big? or the stuff a three-foot pervert likes to spray on the zebra crossing outside the main gate of the local primary school. Though it occurs to me that only Fonz would consider three feet dwarvish. Fonz or an especially well-endowed zebra, I guess. Why is it that whenever you see a zebra in town it never even uses those crossings especially designed for it and just crosses the road anywhichwhere?

Cicinho to Roma 'within hours'

Roma could secure Cicinho within hours after Real Madrid agreed to lower their price to £6m, according to the latest reports.

This evening Sky Italia television announced that negotiations for the Brazilian wide man had reached a critical stage.

They claim that the Giallorossi have raised their offer to £5.4m, while Real have in turn lowered their demand to £6m from the original £8.5m.

With such a small difference to be whittled down, newspapers in Italy and Spain expect the move to be completed within the next 24 hours at the most.

The talks had hit problems when UEFA Cup holders Sevilla intercepted with a bid of their own on Tuesday, but it’s reported Cicinho made his preference for Roma clear.

The Brazilian will be handed a three-year contract worth £1.5m per season.

Alright if we do get Cicinho we have good options on the right with Panucci, Cicinho( bye bye Cassetti) but we still didnt solve the LB problem, to fix that we will most probably get Modesto and have Modesto, Tonetto on the left, and that isnt too bad. Even if we don't get Modesto, we have Rosi which I am a very big fan of and he may get the responsibility on the left, but I want this to be the worst case that could possibly happen.

If this scenario does happens(we get Cici, Modesto..sell casseti) and with the signings we already made, I guess we are all set for the season upon us with a very strong a most importantly DEEP squad that has the ability to compete consistently in 3 competitions and not lose its team strength when one or more players are injured.
