Sensi receives fan threats

There are reports Roma general manager Rosella Sensi is under police escort after threats over the George Soros takeover bid.

The club has denied it is in negotiations to sell the Sensi family’s shares to the American-based millionaire and there are claims he has withdrawn the offer.

A group of Giallorossi supporters are in favour of the sale and held a rally in Rome on Sunday morning.

It is now reported that some have taken this too far and after she was verbally threatened during the 1-1 draw with Livorno at the Stadio Olimpico, Sensi also received several written threats.

She has been placed under police protection, according to newspaper Il Messaggero.

It has always been serious. Rosella has never endeared herself to the fans quite frankly. First of all, she is not really a fan and she has no connection to the Romanisti. Secondly, like it or not, she is a woman, and in Italy, women have no role in calcio. Maybe that sounds a bit sexist, but that's the way it is, and that's they way it will always be. Third, she is an overbearing, difficult, spoiled and direspectful individual who has earned every bit of the hatred the fans feel toward her. She holds us in contempt and she believes herself to be smarter than the rest of us. I met Rosella one time, at the Hotel Cicerone in Rome, when her father still owned the place. I was there with a childhood friend along with our wives. We were at the bar having some drinks and in walks Rosella. Now, this was before she was charged by her father to operate the club and it was certainly before she bought new breasts.

I really knew nothing about her and she had no significant role with the club at that time. In fact, if I was not with my friend, I would have never known who she was to be honest. When he told me who she was, I took it upon myself to cordially and respectfully introduce myself, as is my wont, much to the dislike of my wife who believes I am fucked in the head when it comes to Roma. I extended my hand, told her I am a Romanista from way back, and to please pass on my best wishes to her father and mother. She was very nice, asked me a few questions, and that was all. I returned to my seat at the bar next to my wife. I made a little joke to my friend, that I should have asked her if she knew where former Roma owner Dino Viola was buried so I could go piss on his grave that fuck. Anyway, we had a good laugh.
