I refuse to engage in this conversation for obvious reasons. But Giuve27, I have read much of the information regarding the scandal, but that was nearly 2 years ago. Much of which I am saying comes from memory. Whether the information came from Torino, Napoli or Roma is not substantive. Although, I could be mistaken, but Napoli sent it to Torino then to Carraro.There is a not so unimportant thing called Jurisdiction in the law. Of course, if I were a conpiracy theorist, I would say that the Procura di Torino was influenced by Moggi and juventus. It's in Torino right. Makes sense right?
Anyway, I am not so sure I would place much substance in that so called "confession" you posted. First of all, it appears to be relative to Gea investigation. Nevertheless, clearly those folks from Telecom were conducting some kind of espionage in many areas of Italian life. But nothing has happened as of yet. Those articles are nearly 2 years old. It does not matter to me that it was 2 years ago but nothing has been done. Again, crime and punishment in Italy is much different than in most western democracies. We Italians do not have the stomach for punishment because of our deep rooted and historical distrust of authority. We believe in absolution. In the end, all is forgiven.
In addition, anything that comes from the press needs to be looked at skeptically. If something becomes of it, then fine, I will be the first to admit the I was wrong. But right now, I don't see anything coming out of that unless it directly affects the Gea matter as opposed to calciopoli. We all know that Gea was being investigated along with both Moggi's and people may still go to jail in the case. Lets face it, Moggi had many friends in high places but as he consolidated his power, he made enemies as well. All those SIM cards he had were for a reason. He knew the potential existed for eavesdropping on his conversations. For everything Moggi is, one thing he is not, is stupid. As much as I hate the man, he was a genius in many ways and his instincts were second to none.
Here is part of an article that I had saved to my computer. I am trying to find the rest of it but the following is a quote from that article. It was written shortly after the scandal broke:
"Yet no one doubts that Moggi was able to have a huge, nefarious influence on Italian football which profoundly helped Juventus (and possibly several others) to win. Moggi was somehow able to select referees for games, influence the selection of other teams, have games postponed or cancelled and influence the media coverage of football in a country in which football is a kind of secular worship."

Did our friend giuve27 mention the CAF appeal? Well, this is what Pietro Santulli, President of the Federal Court of Appeals said, after he reduced the punishment handed down by the tribunal:
"Moggi was responsible for serious episodes of sporting fraud, both over time,
in particular the 2004-2005 season, and his behaviour which was aimed at
creating a structure that would alter the competition through conditioning of
refereeing decisions. As his illicit design was eventually successful, he damaged the public's faith in the fairness of sporting competition. To metaphorically speaking survive in Serie A, it was necessary to bow down to Moggi's will. The behaviour of Moggi and Antonio Giraudo cannot be compared to the other directors (Andrea Della Valle and Sandro Mencucci of Fiorentina), whose actions had nowhere near the same causal effect. The Juventus representatives had the full and concrete intention of falsifying the table by conditioning referees, whose decisions were influenced by Moggi and Giraudo."
"The Juventus directors were certainly highly poisonous in their systematic and
organised stability. This means their position in this trial is incomparable to
the others."
Now, does anyone need to ask why juve were relegated?
