You guys say that all these corporate ties are meaningless but I wonder how far into them you guys have looked.

When the team was relegated the value of the team (and therefore stock) plummeted. Many sold their shares and therefore plenty were outstanding and at a very low price. Last year Lapo Elkann decided to recapitalize the club by purchaseing 30 % of the team’s shares (in addition to the 35% they already had) for 104.5 million Euros. In addition to becoming majority holders (by a lot) they assumed (for the first time in 20 years) full control of the team’s finances which is what the triade had fought so hard with them to protect.


Has anyone noticed that this year the sponsor is an in house sponsor for the first time ever? Has anyone noticed that in addition to sponsoring Ferrari that Telecom Italia for the first time ever sponsored Juventus? Has anyone noticed that even la Gazzetta now sponsors Juventus. In the span of a year, all the companies that attacked Moggi have become stakeholders. Furthermore last month FIAT announced that their new consultant would be none other than Guido Rossi.


Guys, in the corporate world it is called a suicide pill. FIAT swallowed it temporarily and took a significant loss in order to acquire full control and eventually realize the gain that was desired in the first place. Now they are the primary benefactors and the stock price has more than doubled (since being in Serie A so just imagine next year in the CL).


The motivation was transparent.

I presumed I was talking to someone with a certain careful intelligence, but perhaps there were things I needed to explain more carefully. Still, I think not. If you can dispute any of the arguments I've made above on what I imagine are strictly logical terms, I look forward to reading your response tomorrow. You know I came in here light and with an open mind because you never know where you may find an expert but after reading a few of your comments I realized that you guys are more of the same old same old found in forums all over the web.
I gave you the sentence created in court that clearly states that Juventus fixed no matches, I gave you the declarations from the judges that also cleared the team and directors from any illicit activity and instead of reading it you tried to justify it.

At the risk of sounding arrogant, you guys have a lot of reading to do before this can become an actual discussion.
The truth is you need to believe that Juve cheated. It takes the edge off of losing constantly. When the first headlines hit the press you likely didn’t react in shock but rather with an “I knew it!â€

Here are the supposedly fixed matches:

Game 1: Lecce-Parma – yes you read right. The game has nothing at all to do with Juventus but this game allowed Fiorentina to survive Serie A in 2005. The ccusation is that the Moggi controlled referee De Santis fixed the match at the request of Moggi after Della Valle (Fiorentina owner) asked Moggi for help. Moggi actually can’t stand De Santis and De Santis can’t stand Juventus. It was De Santis (admitted Interista) that disallowed a legitimate Juventus goal in the Italian Supercup costing Juve the trophy and handing it to Inter wrongfully. All intercepted phone calls regarding this game showed Della Valle contacting Bergamo (referee designer) and Carraro (FIGC president) and Mazzei (FIGC Vice President) directly with no mention of Luciano Moggi.

Let me know when you guys get to the "Articolo Strutturato" in the sentence because I would love to hear your take on the easoning behind that theory (created during Calciopoli in the absence of actual article 6 violations) which permitted the judges to combine article 1 violations (point deduction) into an article 6 violation (relegation) basically stating that 3 beatings constitutes a murder despite the victim still being alive and well.
