Juve Agree Amauri Deal With Palermo

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Juventus have come to an agreement with Palermo to sign Amauri.

The Brazilian striker has been the Bianconeri’s number transfer target for several weeks now.

The Corriere says that Juve sporting director Alessio Secco has agreed with his Palermo counterpart Rino Foschi to sign Amauri for €10.5m plus Antonio Nocerino and Marco Marchionni.

Secco is also said to be toying with the option of including Domenico Criscito as part of the exchange, in order to further lower Amauri’s transfer fee.

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri is believed to be much happier with this deal, than the original exchange that almost went through.

Secco had reportedly agreed to sign Amauri for €15m plus young starlets Sebastian Giovinco, Paolo De Ceglie and Claudio Marchisio.

Ranieri then vetoed the deal at the last minute, and all three players are now expected to return from their current loan spells to play for Juventus next season.

As for Amauri, he will compete with Alessandro The Waterboy, David Trezeguet and Vincenzo Iaquinta for a forward starting berth, with Raffaele Palladino almost certain to be sold in order to make room.

Juve to offer Palla for Hamsik?

Juventus forward Raffaele Palladino could be set for Napoli in an exchange deal for talented midfielder Marek Hamsik.

Palladino, who is a native of Naples, has admitted his frustration this term as he has struggled to hold down a place in Juve’s first team.

The former Azzurrini man’s chances of being selected for Euro 2008 have been dented by a lack of playing time and he is reportedly ready for crisis talks with his agent at the end of the current campaign.

While Sampdoria, Genoa and Fiorentina are said to be keeping an eye on the 23-year-old, Tuttosport suggests that the Old Lady will use Palla as a bargaining chip in their bid to land Napoli’s Hamsik.

Hamsik has been a great success at the Stadio San Paolo since arriving from Brescia in the summer.

It is no secret that Juve hold the Slovakian midfielder in high regard, but Napoli sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has been quick to stress that he is not for sale.

While the Vesuviani may be reluctant to trade Hamsik for cash, they could be tempted by the chance to add a gifted front man to the ranks, possibly in a part-exchange agreement.

Roma were linked with a move for Gomez but we probably don't have the funds to get him, while Milan were also supposedly interested, but it looks like they're getting Sheve and Dinho, so they won't want another forward. He is a quality striker but it will cost a lot to prise him away from Germany.

Is Amauri going to Juventus? At the very least I would like to see him stay in Italy and not join those wankers in Madrid.

I would use nocerino in a deal for amauri in a heart beat. Are you looking forward to a sissoko-nocerino pairing in the next few seasons? I'm not, not to mention marchisio can fill in that role alongside of sissoko perfectly. The only thing being overvalued is nocerino.

You get Hamsik but where is Giovinco supposed to go?? I think he is geared up and ready to replace Nedved as a substitute for a few minutes next season, permitted he won't be sold to Palermo for Amauri. If Amauri is coming to Juve who will you bench?? Move Iaquinta who has been so clutch all season, tender Alex who is on fire this year or Trez, Juve's go to guy???
