The Juventus supportersÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ website VecchiaSignora.com has launched a campaign for Alessandro The Waterboy to be the next President of the club.

The Golden Boy symbolises everything that Juventus stands for, and is loved by millions of Juventini around the world.

Fans on the website VecchiaSignora.com started a page calling for The Waterboy to be the next president of the club.

The 33-year-old has so far received 83 per cent of all votes posted by users, thus proving that in the hearts of fans he is the worthy heir to another former hero Giampiero Boniperti.

The Waterboy joined the club in 1993 from Padova as a teenager, and has since gone on to become the clubÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s all-time record goalscorer.

He has won a plethora of honours, including seven Scudetti (two revoked), a Champions League, Coppa Italia, World club Cup and European SuperCup.

Despite his advancing years, many believe The Waterboy to be in his best form for a decade, and he has hit the back of the net an impressive 11 times in Serie A this season.

Giovinco made the assist on the Empoli goal today. If they even think of selling him to Palermo for Amauri....then I don't know what to say except that I will not be cheering for Juve next season.

Juventus to play Emirates Cup

Juventus' 2008 summer will have an English taste again. Indeed the Club have been invited to take part in the 2nd edition of the Emirates Cup, a four-team tournament to be played at the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal's home ground), on the 2nd and 3rd of August 2008.

A prestigious tournament, due to the big names of the Clubs involved: apart from Juventus and hosts Arsenal, Real Madrid and Hamburg will also be taking part. The tournament's formula sees four matches concentrated in two days, and The Waterboy and his team mates will face the Gunners in the first game (on Saturday August the 2nd, at 4.45 pm local time) and then the Germans the next day (at 2 pm local time).
