Sami Hyppia actually played him onside but the linesman didn't quite see it that way. Also, that shot by Deivid (sp?) of Fenerbahce off one step from 30 yards out straight into the top corner was simply amazing.

I also think that little David needs to stop bitching about Ronaldo, seeing how easily he falls over, gives the ball away and can't defend worth a shit. And I'm usually one of his defenders, as Chris would know...

I know he was onside (clearly onside, actually), but it wouldn't have mattered.
Funny thing on that Hleb run is I was thinking about 10 minutes beforehand how great the refereeing had been in both European ties I've watched (aside from Ronaldo being sniped from the stands in midair and DP getting a yellow) - especially compared to Serie A. The guy who did the Arse-Pool game was very good in an Eredivisie game last weekend. Pity he missed that call. Still, even with that the quality has been heads and shoulders above the domestic variety.
