The problem,Shield,is that even if inter or juve or milan stop doing it,there is no guarantee that clubs like man u and real are going to stop it as well....Italian clubs are already playing second fiddle on the market these days with the big name players all moving to england and spain....Imagine what would happen if we do it the right way...

This is not a justification for what the clubs are doing but we need to get big stars for the sake of italian football and for the clubs to compete and win on the big stage like the champions league....

Un giornale canadese ha riportato la notizia, poi rivelatasi una burla da primo di Aprile, secondo la quale il Toronto FC avrebbe ingaggiato per la prossima stagione The Bald Algerian e Materazzi, a circa due anni dall'ormai celeberrima testata del francese ai danni del difensore azzurro. La Major League non potrà dunque fregiarsi di questo insolito (quanto improbabile) duo.

Inter Renew Diego Interest
Inter Milan have renewed their interest in Werder Bremen star Diego, according to Tuttosport.

The Brazilian is regarded as one of the best playmakers currently plying his trade in Europe, and has been in excellent form this season, scoring 13 goals in the German Bundesliga.

Diego’s future past the end of this campaign is clouded in doubt, with Juventus and Real Madrid both being linked with summer moves.

The Bianconeri are believed to have pulled out of the running, however another Italian team, Inter, have entered.

The Nerazzurri are looking for a top-class creative midfielder, and are prepared to splash €30m in order to sign Diego.

Inter director Marco Branca has already made contact with Diego’s father and agent Djair da Cunha, and the chances of an agreement between both clubs and the player are said to be possible.

Diego first shot to fame in Brazil as a 17-year-old when he formed a devastating partnership at Santos with current Real Madrid star Robinho. The duo led the team to the Brazilian Championship in 2002.

He has won 34 caps for the Brazil national team, scoring six goals.

I've never been a fan of Diego; I put him in the same category as players like Aimar and Riquelme. Lothar Matthaeus, a protagonist of the Centenary celebrations a month ago, returned to the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti this afternoon. The ex-Ballon d'Or winner has chosen his former team Inter as the European club he will report on as part of the coaching master course he is attending in Cologne.

Matthaeus and Mancini met in Dubai in January, and were together again today, with Roberto taking charge of the week's first training session and Lothar armed with pen and notepad to take details. His visit was met with great enthusiasm by the Nerazzurri, who invited Lothar into the changing room. "You have always been my idol," said captain Zanetti, while Marco Materazzi quipped: "Are you ready for Sunday?".

Impressed by the German's physique, Dejan Stankovic said: "I think he can still play..." Luis Figo asked Matthaeus about the way he gets his teams to play, while Patrick Vieira spoke with him in English about the upcoming European Championship.

Inter Close In On Diarra - Report
Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is looking increasingly likely to join Inter Milan in the summer, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Mali international has been tipped to leave Madrid for quite sometime now due to his frosty relationship with Coach Bernd Schuster.

Diarra has not been featuring too heavily recently, and at the weekend he only played the last 20 minutes in the 1-1 league draw at Mallorca.

Inter have identified the signing of a top-class centre midfielder as their priority in this summer's transfer market, and coach Roberto Mancini's first-choice is Diarra.

The feeling in both Spain and Italy is that Madrid will sell Diarra in the summer, and the player’s agent Frederic Guerra has admitted that his client likes Inter.

Inter Close To Shock Locatelli Signing – Report
Inter Milan are closing in on the shock summer signing of Siena veteran Tomas Locatelli, as they plan to adapt to UEFA’s home grown policy for next season.

The Nerazzurri have been much criticised for the lack of Italian players in their squad, and new UEFA rules being enforced next season will force them into some native investment.

In next year’s Champions League, all squads will be required to name four players who grew up in the club’s youth system, as well as another four who are home-grown.

Therefore this has forced Inter to change their transfer policy, and they are now scouring the peninsula for Italian talent.

According to reports in Italy, Inter are closing in on the shock signing of Siena playmaker Tomas Locatelli, who will turn 32 in June.

Locatelli was one regarded as one of Italy’s most promising young talents, earning himself a move from youth club Atalanta to AC Milan in 1995.

However his career never really took off as expected, and despite winning two Italy caps in the late 1990s, he has spent the current decade shared between Bologna, and current club Siena.

Inter are looking to sign Locatelli to help fill their Italian quota for next season’s Champions League, although if the move goes through the Nerazzurri are sure to receive criticism for their motives.

Another Italian player that Inter are said to be interested in signing is Ascoli’s 24-year-old midfielder Stefano Guberti.

Inter currently have just one Italian outfield player in their first team squad, Marco Materazzi, although Primavera star Mario Balotelli has also been promoted on occasions this season.

Chelsea striker Drogba is definitely heading for Milan, says Blues legend Vialli

Chelsea striker Dider Drogba has already agreed to join one of the Milan clubs in the summer, claims former Chelsea manager and Italy legend Gianluca Vialli.

Drogba has continually been linked with a move from Stamford Bridge all season with Inter Milan rumoured to be leading the chase for the Ivory Coast striker.

The fact that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is also tipped to take charge of Inter also suggests Drogba could be on his way to Serie A.

And now Vialli, who was in charge of Chelsea between 1998 and 2000 after seeing out his playing career at Stamford Bridge, says that he has heard Drogab will definitely be heading for Milan.

"Who will we see in Italy out of Drogba, [Dimitar] Berbatov and [Fernando] Torres? Without a doubt the former," Vialli told Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I have heard that he has already signed for a team from Milan that has vertical stripes on their jersey, with two colours, one of which is black."
