Juve Set To Bid For Lucio – Report
Juventus are set to launch a summer transfer bid for want-away Bayern Munich defender Lucio, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
The 29-year-old is widely considered as Brazil’s best central defender, and has been at Bayern since signing for them from Bayer Leverkusen in 2004.
However he yesterday admitted that he may leave the Bavarian giants after revealing his desire to play in Italy, Spain or England.
"I have already said the leagues in Spain, Italy and England - three of the strongest in the world - all interest me" Lucio told Abendzeitung.
"If interest is shown from any of these countries, I would be very pleased. Bayern have already told me they want to keep me. But all clubs say that to their players if they are still under contract.â€

Nedved Set To Pen Extension
Juventus veteran Pavel Nedved is set to sign a one-year extension at the Stadio Olimpico, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 35-year-old’s contract in Turin runs out at the end of the season, but his fine form in recent months has led to calls that he extends his deal for another year.
This now appears almost certain to happen, as the player wants to have one last crack at the Champions League before he retires.
Nedved, who will turn 36 in August, was the Juventus player who dragged his team all the way to the 2003 final.
However he was suspended for the showpiece at Old Trafford against Milan after heartbreakingly picking up a yellow card in the closing stages of the semi-final second leg win over Real Madrid.
Meanwhile in other news, midfield flop Tiago Mendes is certain to be offloaded at the end of the season.
The Juventus hierarchy have finally realised that the player cannot adapt to Claudio Ranieri’s 4-4-2 formation, and a possible transfer to Tottenham Hotspur could be resurrected.
Finally Juve sporting director Alessio Secco is continuing to work hard to find a new first-choice left back for next season. Reggina’s Francesco Modesto and Udinese’s Andrea Dossena remain the two favourites.

If this were to happen, I would never cheer for Juve again. Not only do we have better forwards than Amauri but to give up all our youngsters for him??? Calciomercato just reported Almiron+10 mil for Amauri. Take your pick on which one is a more reliable source.
