first half sucked on our part, spain was all over us.

although we had a legit goal ruled out because of something off the ball. i have no f'ing idea why they didnt call that a goal. stupidest call of the week definitely.

second half we started really brightly, and we held most of the play. de rossi is too damn good, hes such an elegant player and was one of our better players on the night.

spain's goal was pure luck. it was similar to The Bald Algerian's volley vs. leverkusen in the CL final few years ago, except without the turn. david villa, facing the goal, almost the same spot as The Bald Algerian, just swung at a miscued clearance and went into the upper 90. great goal, but he'd score it 1 out of a 100 times.

if we played in the first half like we did in the second, we would've had this game wrapped up. what a shit result, we deserved more i think. spain's goal was completely against the run of play.

Its a good thing DP didn't get a call up because it would of been worse if he was on the field. That was the worst performance I've seen from italy in quite some time. Apart from 25 minutes in the second half we played like shit. I really don't know what people see in Di natale. He's fast, that's it. There's nothing more to him. Based on current form, I think we should have went with a different lineup. But, maybe this will wake donadoni up. Losing a friendly can sometimes work in your advantage.

No comment on buffon's performance. He does it every fucking week. He's the reason we didn't get embarrassed today. Villa's goal was pure class. If anyone is to blame its barzagli (for some strange reason he still gets playing time). He should of challenged villa right away, instead he hesitated and got there late.

Donadoni can take his milan player, tactics and formations and shove it up his ass...
Canna isnt even a shadow of his former self, Matrix is just horrible... Pannuci offers little going up the flank. Perotta was lost out there. Barzagli showed that he's a bit overrated, and grosso offers nothing as a defender...
I understand that this was just a friendly, but still, were only a few months away from euros and a bunch of players are showing that they don't deserve to be on this field. Essentially this team has gone backwards since donadoni came in. It's the same team, with key players replaced by the subs we had for the WC. This team needs Totti, Nesta, The Waterboy, and Cassano.
