Verità sul mercato Juve

Fra le mille voci, ricorrendo a fonti assolutamente certe, tento di fare il punto sul mercato della Juventus della prossima estate. In difesa, appare scontata la decisione di schierare Chiellini, anche in futuro, come centrale, al fianco di Mellberg (Aston Villa), con Legrottaglie rincalzo di lusso. Sono da escludere, al momento, le piste che portano a un altro centrale, oltre allo svedese: Lugano (Fenerbache), Richards (Manchester City) e Zapata (Udinese). La società cerca un esterno sinistro, al posto di Molinaro: il rientrante De Ceglie (Siena), Dossena (Udinese) o Clichy (Arsenal). E’ a centrocampo, come previsto, che si disputa la partita più importante, nel senso che la spesa più rilevante verrà compiuta per l’uomo capace di garantire il salto di qualità. Sono in grado di escludere, in maniera definitiva, Van der Vaart (Amburgo), mentre resta in piedi la candidatura di Diego (Werder Brema). Ranieri non ha mai nascosto la sua preferenza per Lampard, che potrebbe entrare in gioco se proprio Diego andasse al Chelsea. Nessun mistero sui consensi riscossi da Marchisio, di ritorno dall’Empoli, Flamini (Arsenal) e Aquilani (Roma). La trattativa per Hamsik (Napoli), invece, è complicata dal grave infortunio di Zalayeta. In attacco è evidente la necessità di trovare un’alternativa valida per i periodi di astinenza di Trezeguet, senza per questo rinunciare a Iaquinta. Amauri (Palermo), Elmander (Tolosa), e, a una certa distanza dai colleghi, Huntelaar (Ajax) sono i predestinati per il ruolo di punta di peso. Come dopo-Nedved, a sinistra in un centrocampo a 4, si fa largo Giovinco (Empoli), mentre come dopo-Camoranesi, a destra, gode di stima Lanzafame (Bari). Si è parlato spesso di Aguero (Atletico Madrid), ma qui si tratta di decidere se optare per un ariete o una seconda punta, e la priorità assoluta spetta al primo ruolo.

Lippi Will Replace Ranieri - Moggi

Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi claimed he already knows who will be the team's coach next season, and it isn't Claudio Ranieri...

Ahead of Juventus' delicate home match against Napoli tomorrow night, Luciano Moggi has decided to speak out and make some 'shocking' declarations again. According to the disgraced former general manager of the Bianconeri, the team's next coach will be World Cup winner Marcello Lippi, who has already been at the club in two separate, and very successful, stints before.

"I don't think [Claudio] Ranieri will still be Juve's coach next year," he said, "independently from where they end up in the table. His successor will be Marcello Lippi, but the management can't make the same requests they did with Ranieri and then change things along the road, everything would fall apart."

Moggi believes the Juve management asked Ranieri to reach the Uefa Cup at the start of the season, but later they decided that Champions League qualification was the minimum objective.

"I think the current management shows a lack of experience. [Jean-Claude] Blanc and [Giovanni] Cobolli Gigli both knew what the initial objective was, but when the results were better than they expected, they weren't happy, they started getting over excited, which is typical of people who don't know what they're doing," he blasted.

"After that they said the third place was the minimum target and that the Champions League objective could not be failed, and that led to a tense environment which was unnecessary, causing the team to get just one point in three matches."

Juve Make Lampard Number One Target - Report


Juventus have identified Chelsea’s Frank Lampard as their number one transfer target this summer, according to the Corriere dello Sport.


The England international has been heavily linked with the Bianconeri for some time, and Juventus sporting director, Alessio Secco, has met with Chelsea officials on a number of occasions to discuss a transfer.

Under new FIFA transfer rules, as Lampard is over the age of 28 and has already seen out most of his contract, he would be able to leave Chelsea for a cut-price fee.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich has set his stall out to create a more exciting and universally appealing brand of football at Stamford Bridge, and one of the major casualties of this change will be Lampard, who is known more for his substance than for his style.

The 29-year-old is keen to experience a new challenge abroad and would relish the chance to hook up with old boss Claudio Ranieri, the man who was responsible for launching his career when he signed him from West Ham in 2001.

Juventus have made the signing of a top-class centre midfielder their priority this summer.

Their original two main targets were Hamburg’s Rafael van der Vaart and Werder Bremen’s Diego. The former appears certain to join Chelsea, while the latter, despite reports in the press that he met with Secco yesterday, is looking likely to join Real Madrid.

Lampard is said to be favoured over both van der Vaart and Diego because he can both defend and attack. Indeed this is the key factor in not signing Diego because it would require Ranieri to change his English-style 4-4-2 formation in order to employ the creative Brazilian in his ‘trequartista’ role.

still no idea what ranieri sees in this guy... the only things he has going are his shots and physical presence, which in retrospect, can be a lethal combination in Sissy A. Im not saying he's anything like momo.. but, he can pass and he can score (tap ins and deflections, if you ask me)

THAT'S WHY YOU GOTTA GIVE PROPS TO MY MAN MOGGI!!! Say what you want but Moggi had an amazing eye for talent. He didn't buy into the big name players and shit. What was his transfer fee from Monaco?? 7 mil?? I think his highest transfer was Buffon which was worth every penny, if not more. Other than that I think he spent alot on Nedved/Ibra but clearly these were smart moves. Moggi is right about Amauri, he is not a champion and isn't that good.
