The green line is good, but I always get impatient on public transportation and tend to get off to walk. I really don't like crowds much unless something fun is going on. Smiley is right, in that the green line will cut down on your walk.

Thanks for the advice lads. I'll do what Grasso suggested and walk inward toward Piazza del Popolo and sure we'll make our way from there, on foot or by public transport. Italiamia, its really not problem walking at all – we had walked all over the city under our legs were hanging off us and then we walked some more – its just after the game, with lots of hooded young men walking around, singing and shouting, making they're way home (or to the Shamrock), the woman can get nervous, you know what I mean. But your right, she will have to suck it up. This is Roma, after all.

Hey shield, if you really wanna impress the wife - and me for that matter - rent yourself a scooter. C'mon, do it do it. She could wave the Roma flag off the back.

Next time I'm in Rome, I'm getting a scooter. As much as I hate the fucking things as a pedestrian, and lover of all harmonious sound, once you get on, the city is yours. You da man!
