Good performance but the though part is still to be done. 2 weeks to go...
Hopefully we have learned from last season and we will get into this game in a better way than last year.
Bernabeu is gonna be packed and the boys will have to keep their mind and control their emotions during the full 90 minutes. We'll have to see who is gonna play for Real...today Robben has shown what he can do and if Robinho is playing, they will certainly give us a hard time. Just have to pray that we won't have any injuries and that Totti can do the equivalent of his performance last year in Lyon.
De Rossi is a wonderful player, see him fighting for every ball is a great pleasure.
I do not think our formation will change for the return leg as it is quite risky to modify our style of play for such an important game but I think we'll really have to stop them on the side. We have seen Drenthe today and Robben totally control and beat Pannuci and Cassetti.

i'm not sure where this 'i wouldnt celebrate yet' crap is coming from. correct me if i'm wrong but i didnt see any romanista here post that we sealed it already or that we've advanced and the game in madrid is a mere formality. maybe you guys should get a little perspective to our situation. we are coming off a horrible stretch of games recently, players looking disinterested or not in form, scudetto hopes all but gone, a bad result against a team that is closing in on us in the standings....and then we have to get our 'a' game back over night to face argueably the best team in europe. forgive us for actually praising the effort the boys gave in the face of such adversity especially in the manner they did it by overturning an early real lead.

we are very critical of our players when they dont show up and equally passionate in praising them when they do well.

Several papers reporting Cicinho has requested a transfer away from Roma next transfer window and it was yesterday's match which left him distraught. About a time we give him a run of games, he truly deserves it, especially considering our side backs' current form. Why Cicinho is on the bench week in week out is still a mystery to me, and please don't blame it on his defensive skills. They aint that bad.

Looks like Totti's the one who had fever. Seriously, we should just rest him for a few rounds. He's playing like at 65%. He comes back at say 85% and we've got a good chance.

LE PRODEZZE - Ricapitoliamo. Al 24’ del primo tempo, con la Roma sotto di un gol, Mancini se ne va sulla sinistra, crossa in mezzo, dove Totti si scontra con Gago. La collisione in area diventa un assist per Pizarro, che, tutto solo, mette dentro l’1-1. Muovete il nastro della partita in avanti. Al 13’ del secondo tempo Totti sportella di prepotenza Gago e se ne va palla al piede a centrocampo, in contropiede. Vede il movimento di Mancini e gli serve una verticalizzazione al bacio, nello spazio, come dicono quelli bravi. Il brasiliano si beve Casillas in uscita e da posizione defilata mette dentro il 2-1. Finirà così.
COLPO DI SCENA - Totti e Mancini sono stati i migliori giallorossi contro il Real. Totti era in condizione fisiche precarie. Ma si sapeva, giusto? Sbagliato. Era in condizioni molto più precarie di quanto si ipotizzasse. Infatti dopo la gara emerge dal controllo antidoping a mezzanotte e dieci. Provato. LA STRANA COPPIA - Tutto qua? No. Perchè il rapporto tra Mancini e Totti è particolare, per usare un eufemismo. Appena il tempo intercorso tra l’ingresso dalla panchina del centrocampista al posto di Pizarro e l’uscita del difensore, rilevato da Tonetto. Way, way back someone had a list of players whose contracts are up after the season. Anybody know where to find such a list?
