i wasnt able to see the game, but i think our tactics sucked again. gourcuff is good, but hes not able to be the sole responsibility of carrying the attack up front. you put gourcuff with seedorf on the left, or with kaka' in a christmas tree, he'll fly. unfortunately, gourcuff didnt get much backup today, he was left all on his own in the middle third of the pitch.

i know borriello and oliveira are banging in goals left right and center, im not sure how di gennaro is doing down in serie B. and chances of him becoming a first team player next season are slim.

im all for paloschi becoming a first teamer, but its very dangerous. hes got lots of improvement and time to go before he'll become a world class striker. who knows, maybe in 15 years if he breaks the 300 goal mark for milan we'll be talking about the circumstances of his conception into the world of professional football. godspeed...

anyhow; inzaghi, gilardino, pato, and borriello/oliveira.

id go for borriello, oliveira had his chance and didnt impress. we didnt give borriello that big of a chance, and when he did play he always tried to do a little too much. he scored a few for us as well, but who knows.

huntellar or benzema would be my first two options...

i'd cash in on both oliveira and borriello after this season. neither of them are a fit with our team, but have shown they can still be valuable elsewhere, so why not sell them. the same with gilardino, while we're at it, and let's bring in a true poacher. too bad we missed out on toni. and i have learned to love inzaghi, but you have to think that next year he will be little more than a player coach sitting on the bench rather than a viable striking option.

ronaldinho is most likely heading out of barca, and his pricetag is reduced following a shitty season, so....

I dunno this gives us a POSSIBLE 3 forwards to choose from if pato doesnt recover in time, pippo, gila, and paloschi but i dont think at all paloschi should play vs arsenal

it was similar, except that in inter, it was actually a tackle that did him, today, he just jumped. that's all, just jumped.

we were indeed exposed on the counters, but we usually are. we commit way too many players forward, and once one of our fucks loses possession, they rush us back. the goal today was a result of a really poor clearance by kaladze on a long ball that made it straight to the feet of the livorno player who made the most of it. it was just a terrible play. just head it out of bounds if you don't see a teammate to pass to you idiot.

we almost got caught again towards the end of the game when we were pushing players up again, but the livorno players failed to capitalize. against arsenal we wouldn't be so lucky, but yet again against arsenal, we probably will never commit so many players going forward, so i wouldn't worry about that too much. i am worried more about them running the play and keeping the majority of possession against us. however, when that usually happens, the games are extremely tense for us fans, but our defense usually holds up.

i agree that paloschi is definitely not ready to play against arsenal. if pato is not up for it, then pippo/gila should split duties as lone strikers atop the christmas tree formation. pippo is the more proven and effective player, but he is at his best coming on as a sub, so maybe start with gila, finish with pippo. gila is a great player to have defending corners, though.

Official - Ronaldo tendon severed

Milan have now confirmed Ronaldo has completely severed the tendon in his left knee, effectively ending his career.

The striker collapsed as he jumped to reach a cross during tonight’s 1-1 draw with Livorno and immediately the situation seemed to be serious.

His teammates waved for medical staff and called for a substitution as he was stretchered off the field in tears.

Ronaldo was rushed to a local hospital to undergo tests and initial reports suggesting he had completely severed the tendon were confirmed on the official Rossoneri website.

Ronnie has already suffered this type of injury twice before in 1998 and 2000, but that was in his right knee.

As there was talk of a possible retirement at the end of this season, if the diagnosis is confirmed then it is likely Ronaldo’s career is over.

An injury of this type requires a player to be out of action for between nine months and a year.
