Jankulovski: I’m back

Czech international Marek Jankulovski is back in action after knee surgery and can’t wait to return to the Milan line-up. The 30-year-old has played just six games this term as a serious knee problem has kept him sidelined. However, the former Udinese man has returned to full training and may even make a contribution against Siena at San Siro this weekend.

MILANELLO – These are the declarations of the MilanLab coordinator of AC Milan, Jean Pierre Meersseman with ‘Milan Channel’, yesterday afternoon at the Rossoneri’s sports centre of Milanello:

Doctor, what is the situation of the injured Rossoneri players?

“Pato is better today. Up to yesterday he was walking with the help of the crutches, but now he manages to walk without feeling the pain. We are confident with regards to the recovery time. Up to yesterday we thought he would need two or three weeks, but now I believe that within two weeks he is recoverable for the game against Arsenal. He was surely very scared because it was his first injury, following a wonderful goal and the day after he had to reach the training camp of the Brazilian national side. He suffered a lot physically, but at the same time also psychologically, but now he’s serene.

“Kaka will surely be available for the game against Arsenal, but he won’t be available for Siena. His knee problem, which he has been carrying for the past two years, is suffering a bit of pain the day after the games. For this reason we have decided to take action in order to recover him at 100% because his pain is influencing his way of game.

“Ronaldo and Inzaghi will surely be part of Sunday’s game against Siena. I saw them in form during today’s training session.

“Today we have undertaken an echography to Gattuso and we have noted a huge progress and also he should be available for the game against Arsenal. Rino will surely need to be protected from himself because he does not feel any pain and to know the real situation we must undertake him to instrumental exams like the magnetic resonance or an achography.â€

Milan not feeling Olympic spirit

Milan believe they’ll have Alexandre Pato ready for the Arsenal game, but refuse to release Kaka or Pippo Inzaghi for the Olympics. Pato will miss this weekend’s match with Siena after badly spraining his ankle during the 1-0 win at Fiorentina and there were fears he’d be sidelined for several weeks. However, there is comforting news on the 18-year-old’s progress, as he told the media during a publicity event on Friday night.

Fiorentina just drew with Atalanta which means if we win our next two games we will be in fourth place. WOW i thought this would never come. If we win against Siena today I think we will beat Livorno, lets just not fuck up right when we have the chance to take this.

Also if Juve keep playing the way they do I think we can challenge for third as well.

Well lets not count our chickens yet, with Kaka and Pato out for the next couple of Serie A games, our creativity and pace will go down by 70-80% and we all know how a slow, predictable, uninspired Milan can play vs the minnows. So a fuck up is very possible for us too.

I agree with the Bald Fuck for once.....fuck the Olympics...as far as football is concerned, specially for Europeans and big nations, it is hardly an important tournament. The rules are on our side and therefore we should absolutely not release any player (bar Pato who is under 23) for the Olympics.....Kaka, Pirlo, Pippo and Seedorf and maybe more would get picked and there's no way in hell we are going to risk a season for shit like that, even if it means acting against the players wishes

As for tomorrow, Carlo said that R99 is only partially ready which means it is only logical to have him on the bench. Seedorf-Gourcuff-Pippo should play upfront. Also, resting Kaladze makes sense and it is critical Nesta sits out one as well. Though at least he didnt play in midweek so thats good. Without Kaka and Pato, we MUST start both Oddo and Janku so that our attack can still cause trouble to our opponents

forza paloschi. i kind of expect dida to get the start tomorrow, i don't know why. i am hoping that carlo keeps faith in kalac obviously through the games with arsenal and doesn't let the clown back in to screw things up for us.

i haven't read much leading up to the game, but i expect a pretty disappointing lineup. given the called up players, i would go either with kalac-bonera-nesta-maldini-jankulovski-ambro-pirlo-brocchi-seedorf-gourcuff-ronaldo, or a 4-3-1-2 with paloschi and ronaldo as our strikers and seedorf as trequartista. in either case i would give pippo a run too, because i don't think any of the three strikers is ready for a full 90 minutes. paloschi will have the fitness, but not the experience, although he has done great for us in both coppa games he has played, so i am hoping carlo keeps putting trust in him.

and we'll also have serginho back, if hes really match fit carlo might emply him on the left sometime or another.
