Donadoni contro Totti e Nesta: "Sono come due bambini"

Roberto Donadoni entra in tackle su Totti e Nesta. Il ct della Nazionale accantona per un attimo il cerimonioso aplombe da selezionatore azzurro per lanciare una frecciata meno politically correct del solito ai due campioni di Roma e Milan. Nel corso di un incontro con dei bambini di una scuola, Donadoni non le manda a dire a chi ha abbandonato la Nazionale: "Totti e Nesta sono come due bambini che fingono il mal di pancia per evitare l''interrogazione".

Una presa di posizione tutt''altro che morbida, su cui il ct torna in un secondo momento tentando di addolcirne i contenuti: "Ho cercato di trasferire ai bambini questo concetto con una similitudine che non so se possa essere applicata o meno. Volevo dire che a volte tutti quanti noi abbiamo delle difficolta'', dei bisogni, delle necessita'', e ci sono anche tante aspettative. A volte uno di fronte a tutto questo fa determinate scelte, cosi'' come poteva essere il caso di un ragazzino che sa di non essere pronto per una prova scritta o orale a scuola, e magari si fa venire il mal di pancia per cercare di scansarla o di evitarla".
Nesta e Totti come due bambini che hanno paura di assumersi certe responsabilita'': tentativo decisamente malriuscito...

First of all, why would he say such things publically. Does he think he can shame them into coming back to the Azzurri? If he wants them to return, perhaps he should follow the old adage that 'you can catch more flies with a little sugar'.

Gentlemen (and Maro), I bid you all a good night, and a good week, as I leave for Rome in the morning (well, to be precise, in less than four hours. I really need to try get some sleep) for five nights. Bringing the girlfriend (the ex-ex) for what she thinks is a 'romantic break' and for the 'sightseeing' and all that stuff, but, of course, as we all know, its all about the Roma Roma Roma. Yes, naturally I planned it all around going to see a game: Palermo on Saturday night. I was telling Mirko I'm going over and obviously he offered to put be up in his pad, but I said the moth wouldn't be too happy with such arrangements, so he said that when he scores his third on Saturday he will run over to the Tribuna Centrale and solute to what will no doubt be one crazy Guinness-filled Irishman, and his sort. It should be good, and I will try enjoy it as best I can. It will be very nice to have some proper time to explore the city and all the sites. All the best. Forza me in Roma.
