great recap, the man. i agree with you on almost your entire assessment, though i think it would be too big of a shame to bench seedorf, especially in the cl. though if jank is back, then we would definitely need someone more defensive, like ambro, in that position for cover. really agree with you on bonera. i thought he had a miserable first half, and only a satisfactory second. nothing outstanding. i believe he has most to offer as cb, though, and is in the elite of that craft, however.

as per today's coppa game, the less said the better. cafu was simply disastrous, while both our dms, emerson and gattuso, had a dreadful second half. gila was pretty shitty, although he did start playing better towards the end of the second half. he was unlucky not to score on that volley, and did very well to set up paloschi, for his second in as many coppa games. that miss on a breakaway was unforgivable, though. so now gila can't make intelligent runs and can't finish. the only thing he can do is hold the ball up with his back towards goal. paloschi, though, has a great future. he's no pato, but i believe the kid can be an effective striker for us down the road. digao was actually decent today, and compared to his last game, today was a masterclass.

Nice post, Man...how long were you at Milan? One of the better nights at San Siro for sure, the trophies, a beautiful game, a convicning win and now you can tell your kids and grandchildren that you were there for the great Pato's first game (what hype?)

I'd like to believe we didn't want to win the match against Catania...we have a packed schedule for the rest of the season and well, the CL and fourth place *sigh* are far more important...

I actually think Seedorf is a vital part of the starting 11...I expect to see Ambro benched as Ancelotti himself indicated...we'll go back to doing what we did when Ancelloti first took over and I expect extremely entertaining football...with all the attacking players we have at our disposal, Gattuso can limit himself to the defense instead of making unwanted forays up front...

In other news the G14 has disbanded (shock,horror)...financial compensation has been promised for injuries during FIFA and UEFA tournaments so objective achieved?

i agree, gilardino is playing without confidence.

the team and management have to go out and back him up, give him some much-needed confidence.

yeah hes been sucking it up, but his history speaks volumes about his ability.

hes not washed away, he has alot to give. we need to help him more.

i sincerely hope we can get the best out of gila, i know he can perform at this level.
