We are trying hard to get rid of all our creative talents... Shaqiri gone, Kovacic gone and now Hernanes... He is the only one who can play as a trequartista in the 4-3-1-2 formation and we are letting him go.

Well we've been busy. As you said, Hernanes gone but Ljajic, Telles and Melo (why do even need Melo!!?!?!) have come in. Andreolli is gone to Seville and Schelotto's contract has been torn up.

I think (and hope) that Mancini wants a physically stronger mf to sustain a more technical and creative attack. That's how I can explain this transfer market. In that case, I think it has been a good transfer market. Would have been perfect if we had managed to sell one or two full backs and one or two defenders ... 12 defenders for 4 places are a bit too much especially since we're not playing in Europe.

Probably, Mancini has this formation in mind.

The 4-2-3-1 looks a little unbalanced especially with Jovetic in the center and Ljajic on the right. Both of them are not going to track back to defend. We can go 4-2-3-1 if Palacio plays instead of Ljajic but to begin with Mancini will probably go with 4-3-3 replacing the Serbian with Brozovic.

We still lack a player like Motta who could hit those long range passes but overall, we have got some good cover in all positions.

To be really honest I think a draw was a fair result but I am not complaining. We need to gel pretty quickly, this run of luck will eventually run out and we need to grind out results. I wish we still had more creativity from midfield.

Juan was outstanding yesterday. We got away with Medel at the back but the team and Murillo both need Miranda. Kondogbia got better after we took the lead but looked like a shadow of himself before that. Perisic put in one great cross and I realized that we finally have a player who can cross the ball decently. I have a feeling he will do well once he knows what his role is in the team.

I agree with the article on our style of play. We definitely need to switch to a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 and be more expansive. Our build up play is so slow that the opposition will get 11 men behind the ball and we would still be passing the ball between Melo and the defenders.

Our club's modernisation process looks set to continue with us replacing our main sponsors - Pirelli (albeit, sad to see) with Etihad.
Pirelli is currently paying us 13 million Euros per season, whilst Etihad will pay us (if we qualify for the Champions League) almost double that at 25 million Euros per season. Promising signs.
In comparison, both Juve gets paid (by Fiat) and Milan gets paid (by Fly Emirates) 17 million Euros each.
This might also coincide with the talk that Moratti might be selling more of his share of Inter (he still owns around 30% of the club) to an "Arabian group of investors". In saying that, Thohir could buy the rest instead of it going to this other consortium. Interesting times.
