Kovacic finding the back of the net is the real positive, lets hope he can now carry on get 8-10 goals this season.

Zanetti wary of 'tough' EL group

Javier Zanetti believes that Inter face a ‘difficult’ Europa League group following this afternoon’s draw.

The Nerazzurri were handed clashes against French side Saint-Etienne, Dnipro of Ukraine and Azerbaijan side Qarabag.

And the former defender, who is now on the board at San Siro, has admitted that his team will have to be at 100 per cent to progress.

“All the matches are going to be difficult,” he told Sport Mediaset. “But in the paly-off we’ve proven our quality, so hopefully we can continue along that line.

“The goal is to do as well as possible in every competition, and that includes the Europa League.

“We have a new squad who want to impress.”

The Argentine ambassador then commented on rumours that Ezequiel Lavezzi will arrive from Paris Saint-Germain.

“Lavezzi is a great player. There are a few days left until the window shuts, but we’re just focused on the game against Torino.”

La Primavera di Stefano Vecchi è una furia, un autentico tornado. Dopo il 6-0 al Milan nella finale del Trofeo Mamma Cairo, la squadra nerazzurra si è abbattuta anche sul Lanciano nella prima di campionato.

L'Inter ha vinto 7-0, con 5 gol di Puscas (uno davvero notevole per dribbling e tecnica), un siluro di Palazzi e il gol dell'1-0 di Rocca. L'Inter aveva sofferto nella prima mezzora ma poi si è letteralmente scatenata, con un ottimo Dimarco e il solito Camara.

Sul 6-0, il portiere Radu ha parato anche un calcio di rigore.

Same old same old.
We played decent at best and we do lack parts & pieces to really become effective... and I really hate to rant against referees but today's really seemed like having a grudge against us. The penalty was dubious at best (need to see a better replay, but if that was a penalty, than Icardi's was too). Very dubious refereeing in general as it seemed to me pretty obvious he was trying has best to stop the game as much as possible whenever we got in dangerous positions.
The cherry on the cake was Vidic's sending off in the 92min. for an applause... straight red. Gimme a break.

Quite a bad start. Referee deserved 4 / 10 at best. Anyways ... in games against teams like Torino we need to step up our game and play with faster 1 - 2s if we need to open them up. Before the game, Boban was saying that Inter will have problems against the smaller teams and I think he was spot on.

I think the fantasy of Alvarez and Palacio is badly needed upfront.

Very disappointed for Alvarez as well. Especially since, we gave him away on loan with an option for next year. Meaning that there is no immediate cash into the club.

Con l'aiuto di Zeman, accompagnato dall'infortunio di Daniele Conti, l'Inter potrebbe presto trovarsi un giocatore pronto per il grande salto: stiamo parlando di Lorenzo Crisetig.

Il giocatore frulano, arrivato a Cagliari nell'estate, ma di proprietà dell'Inter ci ha messo poco per cancellare lo scetticismo nei suoi confronti e si è affermato come una delle sorprese più piacevoli delle prime battute della nuova stagione.

Si sta godendo il suo momento di grazia, gli sono stati sufficienti appena 180 minuti giocati nelle gare ufficiali per convincere tutti del suo valore. Oltre ad essere ormai, un pilastro dell'Under 21 di Di Biagio, Lorenzo ha mostrato anche in campo la stessa sorprendente maturità a dispetto degli appena 21 anni compiuti a gennaio.

Serio, quadrato, attento e già un grande professionista, Crisetig ha saputo reggere l'urto con la massima serie, mettendo in mostra già i primi progressi nel corso delle amichevoli del precampionato. A giudicare, però, da quanto è accaduto nelle due prime apparizioni di questa stagione, la personalità non gli manca affatto tanto che è riuscito a giocarsi tutte le gare vincendo parecchi duelli contro avversari agguerriti.

De Rossi top earner as salaries drop

Serie A’s total yearly salary spend has again fallen, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport’s annual investigation.

The 20 Serie A clubs now hand out €849m to their players, €63m less than in the previous campaign and a massive €251m saving from 2011. It was at €829m in 2007.

Juventus are the only club whose wage bill has actually increased as they presently hand out €118m to their first team squad.

Milan, without European football, are now paying €94m instead of €105m after the summer exits of Mario Balotelli, Kaka and Robinho.

Inter have made massive savings, given that their big-name departures over the summer has seen a reduction in player costs from €95m to €70m.

In terms of individual players, Roma’s Daniele De Rossi is the highest earner. His €6.5m a year salary is €1m more than Gonzalo Higuain of Napoli.
