sounds like a steal for astori.

i've read, from either fergie or mourinho, how they talk about the 'footedness' of a CB being a factor in the angles of how he distributes the ball. never put too much thought into that explanation, sounds like a technique-based theory that is impossible to guess.

Good lord. Not many options available to poor old Garcia... Doesn’t even take into account young talents like Paredes, Sanabria, Ricci (did he go on loan?), Viviani. Or SuperMarcoFixMyHairoGol. Or Balza. Or Alessandro Crescenzi.

Surely we'll have to loan a few players out. Or sell.

Also, it seems as if Lotito has the last laugh over Roma after all, as his move for Astori was just a bluff, as Arturo Vidal is his real target. Vidal has said he's not going to Man Utd, but Lazio – video of it . Those crafty burini.

Seriously, if Man Utd don't get Vidal, it worries me that Strootman becomes their priority. Just hope we get ridiculous money.

Who can tell us anything about this American kid, Yedlin, that we are linked with?

1) Is he any good or is this just a marketing ploy? (US player etc)
2) Is his first name really DeAndre? (wtf lolz)

As you’ll remember from nearly two weeks ago, Roma Press exclusively reported that DeAndre Yedlin’s proposed move to AS Roma was complete in a move worth near €3.5 million. This information is now being confirmed by Sky Italia, who is reporting the same details of the proposed move. DeAndre Yedlin, as we reported, will remain with the Seattle Sounders for the remainder of the MLS season and move to Roma in January. Roma then may opt to loan Yedlin, whose non-EU status is still being researched, to a mid-table team so the youngster can gain experience.

I also knew a girl at University named Afreaka Friday. She was one of the smartest people i ever met too.

I told a story many years ago that I was with my kid at the dentist and a woman came in with twin girls aged 10 or so. She checked in with the receptionist and said: 'Serenity and Eternity are here for their appointments....." It's almost like a game for some parents with these first names.

Is anyone else a bit nonplused and disinterested in this while US Tour business? I suppose its all of the grand plans of being a big, modern football club, morketing and expanding your brand and being involved with some of the biggest names in European football. The "Guinness Trophy", high-profile friendlies, media coverage, the Denver Broncos, this Google Hangout thing (whatever that is), all the nonsense that goes with it.

But this is where the club is. I suppose, it goes with the territory of actually, er, signing good players and having a good mercato, building a competitive squad and actually being optimistic about the season ahead. What have we become?

Benatia looked great, he shut down Bale so much so that they had him switch sides. The Polish wall was good in goal as well. Keita really understands what Garcia wants from him and seems in the right spot at all times.

Pjanic was very quiet.

We were second best in the 1st half but grew into the game.

Florenzi looked very much like an attacker....let's put it that way. The first half he was easily the worst player on the pitch but we spent most of our time without the ball and defending so it's not a surprise.

Cole was quite shite as well.
