Agreed, Gervs finishing has been shit but he's been very effective.

I'd have no problem with him making way for 4 MFers though. I think Conte setup last time so that Gervs wouldn't hurt him on the counter, so if he's not in then it could work for us or against us depending on Conte's reaction to that.

It could all just be put out there by Garcia to force Conte to contemplate or practice tactics that involve no Gervs/4 MFers on the pitch.

Two sides of the same coin. Totti sending Gervs passes in stride to run at Rube's defense.

I think Conte decided that his team were better 1-11 and he was determined to let the game be decided in that manner.

Tomorrow i think he'll play with the same thing strategy in mind although perhaps the tactics will change.

My hope is that Destro is decisive and Nainnggolan/De Rossi/Strootman can hold up like last time and we aren't undone by set pieces.

It will be a different game simply because Rube can't play for 1 point and force us to come at them.

It's only the Coppa. I think Garcia should give some of the youngsters a run-out so the focus remains on the Verona game. The sooner we're out of the Coppa the sooner we can direct all our energies to the push for the top three.

I'd normally agree but for 2 things:

First and my overriding reason is that i'd like to get a silver star before Rube and be the first in the history of the league. hat is something that will stand forever.

Second, I think it's good for Italian football if the Coppa is taken seriously.
