Did Flagg really just suggest that the evidential sample for Rube's cheating isn't big enough? lmao. And of course different refs tend to give cards differently - that's why Rube get the lenient ones (leant on to be even more lenient) whenever there's a chance of a player or two getting suspended for a big game just around the corner.

Juventus need at least a point in Istanbul against Galatasaray to stay in the Champions League, so count on Arturo Vidal against Wesley Sneijder.

It kicks off at 19.45 GMT and will decide the team that goes through along with Real Madrid in Group B. Light snow is expected over the Ali Sami Yen Spoor Kompleksi.

The Bianconeri have stuttered in Europe so far this season, earning just one victory, and were held to a 2-2 draw by Galatasaray on Roberto Mancini’s debut in Turin.

Always a risk of this happening once it went to the last game and the risks only got bigger with the circumstances of the game being as they were.

Juve, with the exception of Vidal, played the conditions pretty well, so it has to be all the more frustrating to concede a soft goal that had nothing to do with the adverse conditions.

Pogba has to be deeper in front of the defence so that he is either in a position to mark Sneijder or intercept the long ball that was played up to Drogba. Once Pogba was out of the game and the situation had to be defended three on three, it was always going to be dangerous.

Anyway, wasn't this game that cost Juve. When thinking back over the games in the group, I can't look past the two monumentally stupid goals Juve conceded against Galatasaray in Turin as the moment where Juve lost control of things.

Either way, putting aside the arguments for where Juve went wrong, no game at this level, especially in the Champions league, should be played on a field like the one they played on today.

The state of the pitch is a separate issue from Juve's performance in the group.
