I just watched it in full there, well that was one hell of a frustrating second-half. We had enough chances to kill them off but just couldn’t put one away, then were under the cosh big time in the last 10 minutes and in was nervy stuff. Even then we had countless chances to get that second but just couldn’t manage it.

Ljajic had the most amount of opportunities, but the one on 87’ when he should really have squared it to Marquinho was the worst. I was also glad to see him booked for his dive – he done it on two occasions, neither of which were a penalty.

Still, with Borriello going off, Florenzi looking tired, Gervinho not ready, Totti and Destro absent, its only natural we’d have trouble getting goals. Still, it looked liked we’d done enough, but the late goal is a killer, and what can you do, its cruel but it happens.

It's Sassuolo, Edzo. I don't give a shit if we were playing with 6 men out there, Roma should have wiped the floor with them. Dropping points to B teams results in disappointment at the end of the season. Roma has to work for everything as they are not going to get any favors. When you have those thieving criminals on your heels, you had better take 3 points from the worst that Italy has to offer because we all know damn well rubentus will get all of the breaks. So, all of this scudetto talk needs to be tempered in my opinion by the reality of the situation. I just hope this one does not come back to haunt us.

Vasilis Torosidis' Greece took a giant step towards Brazil 2014 as they beat Romania 3-1 in the first leg of their World Cup playoff on Friday night.

Greece, who have now won their last seven games in a row, travel to Bucharest for Tuesday's return leg as they look to seal qualification to only their third World Cup finals. For Bogdan Lobont and Romania, the task of overturning the deficit is a difficult one; Bogdan Stancu's goal in the first leg was the first goal Greece had conceded since March.

Daniele De Rossi and Alessandro Florenzi remained on the bench for Italy's draw with Germany, while Michael Bradley's USA also drew with Scotland.

The remainder of Roma's senior internationals play over the weekend.

Good round-up of how our promising youngsters are doing out on loan (week or so old). Nearly all of them (Italians) are involved with the Italy U-21s or 20s teams which is good to see.

Pity Valerio Verre isn't getting more game time at Palermo. Likewise Piscitella at Pescara (possibly injuries?). Federico Viviani is also on loan at Pescara, although i don't know why they don't have him on this list. He's not playing much either for them with only 6 appearances, which is disappointing. Has he been injured?

Matteo Politano was a big hit on loan at Perugia last season, but not quite playing as much on loan to Pescara this season. Although he has 3 goals in 9 games and is in the Italy U-21s.

Also, on the Italy U-21s, good to see that both Antei and Viviani are key players under manager Gigi Di Biagio (line-ups ). Interesting to note how neither Caprari or Romagnoli are in the U-21s, while players we have out on loan and are playing regularly are (I know Romagnoli is still only 18 but he is highly rated).

Alessandro Crescenzi (22 now) is also out on loan in France with Ajaccio but it looks as if he hasn't played any games at all so not sure whats going on with him. Marco D'Alessandro (also 22) is with Cesena – do we still have any ownership of him?
