Probably that's a question that's never crossed an Inter manager's mind during these past couple of seasons.

Probably Palacio or Alvarez ... but we will never know.

Its a real pity we dropped another 2 points yesterday .... Cagliari, Torino and Atalanta. 3 games we could have taken all points but did not. At the end of the season these points are what makes the difference

Individually a good game for Alvarez and Samuel ... I was dissapointed by Kovacic though. He is missing too many easy passes. Hopefully its just a bumpy patch.

I Think kovacic needs to be really given a proper chance to express himself in the team,he shows flashes but just looks like he is holding back.drop guarin,play kovacic and taider with cambiasso,and start giving icardi some starts,if he is to be the future he needs to get a chance now,when he has come on in games they have changed and inter get more chances. belfodil is in the same both,has played really well when played,but mazzarri already seems set in who he wants to play and his system won't allow the best young talents to get a chance together

Zanetti returns for Inter

Samir Handanovic recovers, Mauro Icardi is out, but above all Javier Zanetti is back in the Inter squad against Udinese.

There had been major doubts over Handanovic and Icardi, but while the goalkeeper is at least in the side after a hip injury, Icardi is left behind to recover.

With Diego Milito still sidelined, Ishak Belfodil suspended and in defence Hugo Campagnaro injured, Rodrigo Palacio is the only available striker.

He is joined by 17-year-old youth team forward George Puscas.

The big news from Walter Mazzarri’s squad list is the inclusion of Zanetti, the captain who has been out of action since rupturing his Achilles tendon on April 28.

He had not been expected back until the end of November, but the 40-year-old is recovering in record time.

Kovacic looks like a very skilful player, but in the few games of Inter I've watched lately, its been his attitude which has been his biggest problem, which is strange for a young lad. He's not been chasing back when he loses the ball, not putting in the hard yards, not making support runs. I know he's more a creative player, but he needs to seriously improve his work rate if he's to make it.

He could learn a thing or two from Cambiasso, who's been impressive lately. I wonder if Lomba still thinks he's finished?

No I don't think Cambiasso's finished. The physical condition he had during these past couple of years led me to state what was obvious to anyone. Now he seems in very good condition and that makes him a natural starter for this team. Actually I think today Mazzarri has finally found his main starting lineup. I'm afraid Kovacic doesn't fit this lineup too well...

Now we have a series of 4 games which lead to the game against Napoli ... in the mean time, the top three teams have various direct encounters. If we really want a top 3 finish (I still think we are not league winning material) now is the time to step up 1 gear ...

Fiorentina have been a little inconsistent but they are still without their main man Gomez. Even though Fiorentina have a better squad, I worry about Roma a bit more. Like us, they have no European competitions to play in and they can field the same starting 11 week in week out. May be their current dip is more related to Totti not being fit than anything else.

Having said that the biggest worry for Inter is Inter. More precisely, Inter against the smaller teams. Even last year, we did very well in the big games. It was against the smaller teams that we fucked up big time. The same trend has continued this season though we have been a little better. If we intend to finish top 3 we can't draw against the likes of Atalanta and Torino.

Investor: 'Moratti is Inter President'

Roslan Roeslani Perkasa, one of Erick Thohir’s business partners, explained how Inter will develop and keeping Massimo Moratti as President.

Roeslani spoke to an Indonesian Inter Club just days ahead of the contracts that will officially move 70 per cent of the side’s shares into their hands.

“Thohir wants to stay at Inter for a long time. He likes the history and the Nerazzurri family, promising to make an even stronger club.

“We will officially become owners from December 15. There will be eight members of the Board of Directors: Thohir, me, Handy Soetedjo and another two of our associates, plus three people chosen by Moratti.

“There is no option to buy back the club, while the 70 per cent of our shares cover Inter’s assets, including the training complex.

“We will sign from one to three players in order to finish in the top three in Serie A, then build an Inter Campus and some Inter Stores in Indonesia.”

The investor also spoke about captain Javier Zanetti, who is about to make his comeback from injury.

“As soon as he retires from football, he will become part of the directorial staff. Moratti will remain President for another year or two, then someone between myself, Handy and Erick will take this role.”

An intriguing comment regarded director Marco Branca, who seems to be blamed for recent disappointing results.

“Branca? He will be evaluated for having sold some potentially excellent young players. We want a mix of youth and experience.

“In mid-November we’ll me in Milan to meet Moratti and discuss the transfer market.”
