Campagnaro out of Torino-Inter

Hugo Campagnaro and Ricky Alvarez are out of Inter’s encounter with Torino, so Walter Samuel could start.

There were doubts over Campagnaro and he felt a twinge in his right thigh, so has been left behind as a precaution.

Alvarez has not recovered from his injury that kept him out of international duty with Argentina last week.

Another good performance in which we almost ended up empty handed. the guys really made a brave performance for 90 minutes with a man down against a very good Torino side. Pity we didn't grab the whole 3 points ... but from my side, when I see that kind of determination and team spirit from the team I am happy.

Branca & the club in general made a pathetic show yesterday. Making an official half-stand like that for something that theorically could or could not be justified was simply idiotic. The penalty was correct, the sending off was quite iffy and the rest of the game was yes biased towards the home side (nothing new in football) but never beyond proportions.
Mazzarri decides to skip post-game interviews, Branca takes his place half-heartedly (visibly desiring to be elsewhere and in which he says half sentences that don't make the desired impact) & Moratti who between the lines says that he wasn't in agreement with what Mazzarri did.

Never in my life have I believed that all is legal, that there is no corruption or that 'the best team wins'. But that was never my point to begin with.
I simply subsided that argument since it would just go on in circles that lead nowhere.
Judging on yesterday's incidents, to me it seems that Cerci gets on the ball a split second before Handanovic and chips the ball on top of him. Handa was in no position to stop his movement, but he gets there after Cerci and makes the foul (though involuntarily). That to me is a penalty/foul. The red was exaggerated but than again, I've also seen much worse against us. My point is, why try to make a stand when it's not that clear? Why make a stand, when the issue is easily excusable? But beyond that, why go to make a stand, when you make it half-heartedly? Mazzarri should have showed himself and made a strong stand, supported than by Branca & Moratti and possibly an official statement. That would have got the message clear. Like this, we simply wasted an opportunity to be credible.

We all know that briz is a one-sided conspiracy threorist...
however, he is right about two things:

1) Italy is full of corruption but this corruption is not just in Italy, its all over the world with pigs like Blatter and Platini in charge. This corruption is beyond one team briz (you insist on saying Juve is criminal and Inter are helpless victims and thats bullshit), the corruption extends into gambling and the odds so any given day any team can be favored or victimized.

2) Technology needs to be brought into the game, ASAP! I say full out video replays with a limited number of times that video evidence can be used per team per game. But we know this is never going to happen because of the reason #1 above....

I remember when many people thought that by getting rid of Moggi and co, things were clean. That was the biggest bullshit ever, the referees have only become worse since then. I've given up watching any games because i consistently see game in-game out various ridiculous calls that would have never been made before (and NO....its not just part of the game).
Moggi was just a single grape in a vineyard of bullshit.

€10m Jorginho on Inter radar

Italian giants Inter are the latest club to be showing an interest in Verona revelation Jorginho.

The player, paired in the past with Milan and Fiorentina, was watched by scouts of Chelsea and Arsenal over the weekend.

However, according to Tuttosport, the 21-year-old is now also on the wish-list of Erick Thohir’s Nerazzurri.

Verona apparently value the Brazilian-born midfielder, who could have an international career with Italy, at around the €10m figure.

Jorginho wants Azzurri future

Verona’s Brazilian-born Jorginho has underlined his desire to represent the Italian international side.

The 21-year-old is in possession of an Italian passport thanks to a great-great-grandfather who hailed from the north of the country.

“I feel Italian,” said the midfielder, who has been on the peninsula for the last six years, to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I dream of playing in and winning the World Cup with the national side. I hope that the bureaucratic issues are resolved quickly.”

Jorginho, who was selected by former Under-21 international boss Devis Mangia but who was uncapped, has been a revelation in Serie A this season.

The player has scored five goals in eight League games so far this term and was watched by Arsenal and Chelsea scouts at the weekend.

“Staying here for another season would only do me good,” he added. “I feel at home here and there is great enthusiasm in this place.”

Verona are currently fourth in the standings following their promotion.

Inter eye Sabatini swoop?

The new Inter of Erick Thohir are reportedly thinking of recruiting Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, the Indonesian businessman is keen on creating a youthful Inter squad.

Sabatini is well regarded for his ability of spotting potential stars of tomorrow, especially on the South American market.

The former Palermo and Lazio transfer guru is tied to the Stadio Olimpico outfit until June 2014, but President James Pallotta is reportedly keen on offering him an extension.

The capital club are currently top of Serie A after winning all eight of their League games so far this term.
