IlRomanista is suggesting that the little eagle may be back in contention for a spot on Wednesday. I'd like to see the first four names on the team-sheet for that match being Curci, Antunes, Cicinho, and Barusso. Esposito's also got to start. This is the opportunity for Spags to let those boys see a little more match time. All five of those guys have to get all of both legs of this Coppa tie to give them a bit more confidence and some match fitness. I don't care that it might cost us a place in the Coppa - if these boys are good enough to be within the squad then they've got to be good enough to get us a result and Spags also has to focus a little bit more on the bigger picture here. Neither of the fullbacks have been particularly helped by Panucci and Cassetti's great form, but I think we're seeing the first real dip in Max's form since he joined us and I simply suspect he could use a bit of rest. A bit more match time for Perrotta and Taddei and Aquilani as they look to come back from their injuries will be nice too, but Spags has to get a little bit more out of this squad.
