I thought we looked a lot more lively and aggressive, especially our midfielders. And we pretty much played must of the game on their half, which is good in the sense that we're controlling possession, but bad in that it leaves us more vulnerable to counters.
I'm just a little worried that Marotta didn't reenforce the squad with the 1-2 signings i think Conte would have liked. The Gila-Borriello-Quaglia deal also fell through, which means Quaglia will probably be with us until at least January. It's unfortunate because I think Gila would've been a good signing for us, because we need another center forward, even though I would've rather just offloaded Quaglia and kept Matri...
Just think the squad is probably one decent midfielder short. All other areas of the squad have good quality and good depth, but there is a Giaccherini-shaped hole in the squad, to my mind, which could have done with being filled.
Didn't think Juve looked too vulnerable to counter-attacks against Lazio because - while they did play the game in Lazio's half - there weren't many occasions where Juve were putting a lot of players ahead of the ball.
I like Nainggolan, but I'm not sure we need another CM. But I guess since we sold Giach, and sent Marrone to Sassuolo, it wouldn't hurt to add another CM to the rotation.

Juventus expect coach Antonio Conte to remain with the Turin giants next season despite his displeasure over the club's summer sales.
Conte recently voiced his discontent regarding the decision made by the Serie A champions to sell several top players in order to balance their books.
Italian striker Alessandro Matri joined AC Milan last month while midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini moved to Sunderland in July.
"His (Conte's) comments regarding the transfer market were not controversial," said Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta to Tuttosport. "We know him (Conte) well and we will hold on to him."
Former Juventus midfielder and board member Pavel Nedved also brushed aside reports that Conte could leave the club next year.
"I think once in a while one blows off steam and says certain things," Nedved said. "But I think there is great harmony between Antonio and the club.
"I see no problem.
"I don't fear a separation at the end of the season.
"It is not right to face a new season where we have important challenges thinking that the coach could leave.
"We are aware that we are very strong and we can do very well in every competition."
Juve have strengthened their attacking line with the arrivals of Angelo Ogbonna, Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente this summer.
Conte, who took the reins of Juve in 2011, has led the Bianconeri to back-to-back Serie A titles.
Well I'd be approaching this match with extreme caution.
Inter are going to want to sit deep, stay compact and hit Juve on the break.
I would set out to deny them the chance to counter-attack and try to goad them into trying to take the initiative so that Juve are the side who can do the counter-attacking.
I'd like to see a clear plan from Juve on how to deal with Palacio and Alvarez - possibly with Chiellini looking to mark Alvarez and Barzagli mark Palacio.
Juve must absolutely avoid allowing the back three to get stretched out and allowing Inter to get Alvarez and Palacio attacking Pirlo and Bonucci in open space.
So I'd be preaching patience for this one, even if that does greatly increase the chance of a 0-0 draw.
Slightly miffed to be missing this one, but the call of the Aberdeen game in Glasgow is just too strong to ignore.
It was physical, it was competitive, but most of all, the Derby d'Italia was entertaining. Similar formations but differing styles; Inter and Juventus looked on their way to finishing the game in a goalless draw, so little was there between the two sides. However, two goals in two minutes provoked wide spread gasps and mounting excitement as both teams pushed forward to clinch all three points, but in the end were forced to share the spoils ensuring a fair result.
No matter how swiftly Inter have come to grips with Walter Mazzarri's tactics, there's no greater test than pitting them against a well-oiled machine like Juventus to see how much they still need to develop. Despite their pace and power on the counter-attack and their gritty play that ensured clear, organised lines for much of the time, they lacked composure, struggled to keep possession and misread obvious situations.
Juventus, by contrast, exhibited fluidity and clear chemistry. Comfortable in possession, their attacking passages of play were well constructed while their defensive lines were well organised. Antonio Conte was determined to ensure his squad stayed narrow, tight and positioned well to stop Mazzarri's men from exploiting space.
Inter, despite demonstrating some good defending on their part, allowed the likes of Andrea Pirlo too much space to operate. Never closed down early, the playmaker picked out some superb passes to truly threaten his former team. With so many holes to exploit through the centre of Inter, Juventus seemed determined to push forward intelligently, forcing their opponents into some last ditch attempts to keep a clean sheet.
In the second half, the Nerazzurri had regrouped and the game seemed to open up a tad. Spaces were not so quickly closed down and the ball was swiftly passing from one side to another. Inter now looked much more comfortable while it seemed the Old Lady relaxed in a rhythm somewhat, allowing her opponent to grow stronger and more capable of destruction.
Despite some clever manoeuvres, the second half showed Juve are still vulnerable to a lack of oomph in the final third. Limited to some tame shots, certain wrong decisions or poor handling saw them squander some good opportunities to take the lead.
Ricardo Alvarez, for his part, deserves a special mention. The player who proved so calm and composed for Velez Sarsfield once again demonstrated his worth under Mazzarri's tutelage. Robbing the ball off Juventus, every time he was involved, the Nerazzurri looked more threatening. With Giorgio Chiellini unable to stop him, Alvarez grabbed hold of possession and delivered the perfect weighted pass for Mauro Icardi to finish like he knows how against Juventus. A sublime passage of play, Inter scored the opening goal and Alvarez has confirmed his ability once again.
This is where experience and maturity count and Inter's celebrations took their toll as only two minutes later Juventus had equalised after Kwadwo Asamoah proved his determination and stubbornness to keep hold of the ball only for Arturo Vidal to grab and score. The Bianconeri may now have the strikers they wanted all of last season, but it seems no one can stop the midfielder from scoring -- outscoring each and every Juve forward.
Football is not always fair and some results can prove to be truly shocking, but on this occasion, there was no fairer scoreline than a 1-1 draw. Both teams exploited their strengths: Juventus with their composed play and perfect midfield, and Inter with their strength and power. Both sides fought until the end with contagious determination and both squads did the most they could with the little energy they had left over after the international week.
For Juventus, the manner in which they demonstrated pride to secure a draw will make them confident going into the Champions League match against Copenhagen this coming Tuesday night, even if it seems there are still a few problems to iron out in attack.
Not a bad performance from Juve and a perfectly acceptable result, even if they did have the chances to win the game.
Juve played in a bolder fashion than I would have, but what really caused a problem was that Chiellini was getting too high up the pitch quite a lot, so Juve were getting themselves into situations that were reminiscent of what happened a lot when they were playing 4-3-3 - with Juve being caught with only Pirlo and the two central defenders behind the ball when it was lost, making counter-attacks from the opposition very dangerous.
In a similar vein, I thought that was a game where Marchisio was missed. Think his positioning and awareness would have allowed Juve to play in a safer, more controlled fashion than they did with Pogba in the team. May well have made Juve less likely to score, but think they would have been a more solid unit and harder to counter-attack against.
Think it would have looked for Juve's central midfielders to play a more responsible game and look for the penetrating forward runs to come more from the wing-backs for the most part. Inter's central defenders have looked pretty solid, but no-one is going to convince me Juve couldn't have forced errors from Jonathan (they got one error from him despite not really pressuring him through the game) and Nagatomo if they'd really gone after them.
Was easily Tevez's best game so far, even though it's the first one he didn't score in. Was just a shame that Vucinic played his poorest game of the season (wonder just how fit Vucinic was?) so Tevez was having to do it almost all by himself, which made it pretty tough against a well organised defence. That would also have allowed Juve to keep more of a presence deep in midfield and make it harder for Inter to break.
Not a bad result by any means, in my book. This was the sort of game - away to a confident, highly motivated team and between an international break and a CL game - that it would have been very easy for Juve to put in an indifferent display in and lose.
I thought Pogba's youth showed more in this game than any other game. He was sloppy with the ball, and lost possession too many times. I want to be pissed at Chiellini for losing the ball on that one play that resulted in Inter's goal, but he rarely makes mistakes like that, so I can let it go.
Like you said, on paper a draw away to Inter in between international break and CL isn't a bad result especially since Inter didn't have as many players on international break and they don't have to worry about Europe...
I'd like to see Conte start giving Llorente and Giovinco some minutes, not necessarily together...
