Totti to extend AS Roma contract on derby day or on his birthday?

AS ROMA PRESS REVIEW - Yesterday at the Studio Tonucci in Rome, captain Totti’s lawyers met with AS Roma general manager Mauro Baldissoni to discuss the contract’s extension.

Il Corriere della Sera reveals that the agreement has been reached on € 3.2 million net a year, with the 50% on t-shirts and merch sales to AS Roma.

Il Messaggero says that the Giallorossi number 10 will put pen to paper on three contracts: the first with AS Roma for two years as a player, the second one with Number Ten company for his image rights and the third one with AS Roma for five years as a director (on € 600,000 annually).

Leggo reports that the announcement could be made on September 27 – that is, on his 37th birthday – with AS Roma president James Pallotta during an event to be organized at the Colosseum.

Il Romanista writes instead that his extension could be disclosed on September 22, right before the derby will kick off.

Lots of real interesting stuff from Saba today in his PC. Too much to really summarize.

Did say he had no interest in selling Lamela but an offer from a "big club" made his contract negotiation tough.

When he realized what he could get Ljajic for he decided to sell. Said he feels that Ljajic is as good as Lamela and he's "not just saying that" because he's now a Roma player.
