The old designer was called Piero Gratton. He did some cool stuff, for Uefa and the Euros too.

I like it because it was so obviously "of the time". It might look a little dated now, but the thinking behind it was clear and the execution was flawless. Even if it's not someone's ideal, they'd have to admit that it has plenty of positives about it. The new one is just "Meh". It's almost violently bland.

I liked the idea of tidying up some of the lines, but I'd rather incorporate the "ROMA" above the crest if needs be than do away with the ASR. The generic pukiness of the font is also offensive and I don't like the shouty upper-case vibe of it all.

The WORST part of this all is that the jersey doesn't have a sponsor, something I really like. But I couldn't wear that abomination. And so I'm left scouring the bargain bins in the Kappa stores for left-over ASR stuff.

I'm so glad I missed all the mercato madness deadline shite (bedridden with flu). At least our management didn't sell any more of our players. Did anyone expect the club to spend proper money on a new striker? We are a selling club, now. Made a nice profit, too, and who knows where its going to go. Fart around with deals for Gilardino or Quags, loans or swaps or exchanges (thank God we're gone from those terrible old days of Rosella, right?) – nah, I'd actually rather just keep Borriello, and in turn, Capari, who I hope now gets a shot. It could seriously limit us, though, if we lose one of our main forwards (you know who I mean) to injury, God forbid, touch wood etc.

Pro and Joe alike seems to love Strootman. I really haven't seen much from him so far. Granted it's 1 game and some Friendlies. Still in his 1 meaningful game he was the 3rd best MFer on the team....out of 3.

I'm not trying to be disparaging. Just haven't seen it yet.
