We wuz awesomer than Verona.

Good result. Looked better than last week. I didn't like what I saw in the first half though. There wasn't much vertical movement from the midfield three which kinda made the game a bit boring to watch at times. That seemed to change in the second half as both Pjanic and Strootman started to make runs forward, and that's when we really started to play well. Hopefully we can get even better once the players full adapt to Garcia's system.

Tale of two halves to be sure. If you only watched the first half you'd see a team that looked like it had few ideas. Hard to say if the first goal changed anything because the second one came so quickly. After that we took the air out of the ball.

Gervs appears as advertised, seems a winger to me. Certainly doesn't seem to have a striker's serlfishness or nose for goal.

I wasn't overly impressed with Stroot either, i think he looked very poor when we didn't have the ball.

Maicon has been really good, we'll know more when we play a team more our equal and he is tested defending. He was shook rather easily at one point yesterday in a really bad spot.

I don't want to over do it but Ljajic could be the best player in the world someday. He's a combination of Pele, Maradonna, De Stefano, Baggio, Totti, Jesus Christ and Michael Bradley.

Ljajic's all that, eh? Well, if you'd said Messi then you'd have sold me. The main thing I remember about him was that he was the guy Delio Rossi lost his nut over.

I liked what I saw from Strootman in the preseason, but that was against weak teams (then again, Verona ...) At least he looked like a guy who would make intelligent runs. Now that we don't have Simone any more we really need someone who can do that, especially with Totti around. If he can form any kind of understanding with Totti, that would be great.

That's a very subjective tone. Everything I've read here clearly belonged it was Verona fans. Not roma fans. Surprised by that to be honest.

None of what I've read implies roma involvement. He's doing that. Which is odd, because I've a lot of respect for him.

Yeah, I like him generally, although not as much as James Richardson. Disappointing because those English fans will read that and just add that to ass stabbing comments.
