I dont know why, but somehow i feel responsible for the mess... go figure
Ok.. on a serious note, just to get out of the way before we continue our usual summer lunancies, I feel that I am entitled to give just a brief little insight from my part over the incidents that transpired over the past 2/3 days.
Some of you may be sick of hearing about it, some of you might want to know more, but personally I really want to take go to lengths to express my feelings about the incident, and more importantly, express how much I enjoy being in the company of such great, loyal, and at times downright looney people.
SO in a nutshell, all of you are probably aware of how it started. Yes I did quote his post and wrote the following 'Quit Spammin Socc' (Shield you ding dong.. I didnt write 'Stop Troll Posting'!!! Thats not even REMOTELY funny.. hell I'd delete that myself if I saw it... not that the alternative is gold or anything..
).
Now clearly I meant it as a joke as I'm sure everyone of you can see the mildly (un)funny side to that. He deleted it at first site. Now it doesnt bother me if people think my post is rubbish and get rid of it... or if its offensive... or whatever. But for no fucking reason he got rid of it. Maybe he DID think I was insulting him. All he had to do was read my second post which was 3 lines, delete it if he wished and pmed me saying he made a mistake yak yak yak. He replied telling to watch it, to get a life, how I dont contribute anything and wont be missed. As someone mentioned, I was no angel and I replied in kind in a 3rd post, although in NOWAY did I resort to any personal cuss because I knew that would be his excuse to through me out asap.
He came back to start up round 4 by iniating in personal insults, subliminal threats and basically trying to throw his cyber weight around. He CLAIMS he gave me a warning, but excuse me... coming up with lame threats of banning me topped off with nuts and insults arent a 'warning'. He knew what was coming, I knew what was coming, and he made sure i would respond in kind by his 2cd and 3rd posts.
So naturally I did respond in a lenghty post. Up untill this point, most people didnt even know which of my posts Socc had labelled 'TROLL post'. During this, Shield, Maro, Kroo and Edge were either trying to make sense of the situation, or in the latter two's case, trying to calm it all down. It was met with a 'mind your own business' to them all, and deletion of Maro and Shields posts. Then once Shield found out what the post was -that Socc was CONVINCED I took a stab at him- he rightly couldnt beleive that Socc's reaction was all because of that.
Now just to clear somehting up, i dont care about the damn post, Big Daddio Socc has been making it seem on the post that it was the deletion of the post that pissed me off because it was an insult. It WAS an innocent joke, but the principle of deleting something as harmless as that at your whim is really what got to me. Hey, i dont care if it was lame(Shield? Maldini?
) thats not the point, you dont go deleting posts left right and center at your whim and not be expected to admit your mistakes, especially not to people who contribute to your space. He's not a nanny, he's an admin, and an admin can only be so much without his users. His subsequent posts and refusal and irrationalism are really what pissed me off and lead to me posting my 4th one.
As Ita mentioned, I got a life ban, not a ban, I got deleted, for 4 posts where the total amount of times I took a personal swipe at him was the very last line of my final post. And no.. it wasnt me in the shoutbox calling him a cnut... (hmm.. wonder who that was.. any ideas on that one Shieldy poo?). So I dont know, i'm pretty sure i got under his skin, and the 4 who were on at the time helped to really expose that pathetic side of him.
Whats more, I've never had a problem with him untill spqr's banning. I accepted he had to ban spqr, but to not even warn MM on his provacation was what bugged me and I mentioned that. Anyways, after the banning, Socc along with his inter butt kissers went on for a page and a half on our thread trumpeting about it over which I told them to take it to a CS forum or some such. Now to be honest, that incident was done and buried. I say this because after banning me, he's making it look like the blame lies squarely with me, and that i was looking to pick a fight with him, and that i was sore over spqr's banning and fmfrank and Kram's trolling, when in truth i only mentioned these things in passing. Hell, I dont even know which parts of the deleted posts he posted in the CS forums, as lomba read it and APPARENTLY "aba deserved it.. he was rude blabla *asskiss*asskiss*.
So yea, thats my bit part explanation.. there are so many things I've wanted to say, so I might've missed stuff out, but honestly, I dont think anyone of us who saw what transpired that night can lay the majority of blame on us.
Now Ita, I understand you really didnt want to leave, and I'm sorry my friend that because of me, so much inconviniance has been caused. But trust me, I didnt do what Socc claimed by 'HURL insults, or insult him repeatedly or go and look for a fight'. Whatever mess happened was largely due to his own actions. Forget about me for a sec.. even Maro- as we know how increidble loyal and slapwitted he is- But do you honestly think Edge and Kroo, of all people would be so aggressive and irrational as to warrant a ban? They are some of the coolest cats in our pack. Shield is shield, he can go on his hate rants again puke or wat not, but how many times have you seen him pick a fight?! He's always more than cordial with fellow users. Numbers dont lie... crazy moody mods with mini-hitler fits, do. So sorry again to you and any others of the Lupi who were inconvianced.
Having said that, I cant imagine having any group showing the solidarity and sincerity all of you have shown. The 4 who were on at the time didnt just stick up for me, they stuck up for the forum because what was happening in the process was not acceptable. Be it his home, his guesthouse or his bedroom, he has responsibilities to not delete whoever's posting just because it goes against his thinking or because they're trying to sort a fight out, nor do they remove or ignore forum supervisors, and as I read this I see that Socc's really lost the plot and divulged personal info about spqr... naturally he's banned.
Another thing.. what is it that Socc finds sooooo satisfying about BLATANT trash talk to people he's banned... ala me and spqr to cite recent examples.
And someone had a point about ita being a bit to gracious... I saw what he said to shield in the shoutbox, and the only lower I've seen socc go is a few minutes ago when I saw the spqr posts... he's really flipped hasnt he?
Ok.. this post is long enough, so I wont divulge any further. Thanks again men, and can I just say Shield, that this forum has all the makings to be a brand spankin new kickass den for us! Keep up the great work, and we're all here to help.
Last sidenote... regarding the pm's... maro, shield, did you guys get my parting pm? or was that blocked? I didnt know, my account was deleted to quick, my head was spinning... seriously though.. he must've really flipped to have deleted my account entirely on our first altercation...
