Oh, but I’m not criticizing Mazzarri at all. I thought I was actually complimenting him by saying that our fitness seems much better and our attacking formula seems to be much more convincing. Unfortunately Mazzarri cannot do much if the best he has are Andreolli, Cambiasso & Perreira…and that’s what I was referring to when saying we have a shitty team.
Mazzarri seems certainly a big upgrade to last year, but on his own he can’t change the tide.

Silvestre isn't a bad defender. He's just a bad investment for a) a club willing to actually compete for something b) For someone stupid enough to spend 8M for him.
Had he come on a free, my guess is we would have heard half the complaints about him.

I don't think Silvestre ever started 3 games in a row for us. He also had fitness issues so it's really difficult to judge him. But as Lomba says, paying 8m for him was ridiculous.

Inter should be happy if they can get some money out of Milan for him.

Seems the deal's done. 1 year loan for 1M. Milan has the right to buy him next year if he plays well. Let's hope he does...

Seems Wallace is on his way from Chelsea. Same formula..1 year loan. Don't know the kid, but this is a gamble i'd like to take. No risks whatsoever.
Also rumours about Taider joining instead of Naingolan. Don't know much about Taider either...all I know is he's Muslim (so currently undergoing Ramadan) & plays for Algeria (so he'll get to leave for a whole month during the African's Cup). Value doesn't seem too low either.

We also seem to have spoken to Luis Gustavo's agent. Gustavo is a known quantity and I think he will be a better buy to this Taider fellow. bayern want 18m but we want to take him on loan

What happened with Nainggolan? If Taider cost 16m, Gustavo cost 18m, we say we don't have enough money for Nainggolan?

This is something interesting I read today. In the last transfer market and in January, we got Silvestre, Cassano, Rocchi, Schelotto and Gargano. Each one of them has been loaned, sold or left out from the first team. Basically, the last 12 months of transfer activity has added nothing to the team.
