Van Der Vaart: I Am Ready For Juve

Hamburg midfielder Rafael Van der Vaart has admitted that he is ready to join Juventus.

The 24-year-old playmaker joined the Bundesliga club in 2005 but is now desperate to test himself in a stronger league.

He seemed all set for a move to Valencia in the summer, however Hamburg scrapped the deal at the very last minute.

Van der Vaart is tied to the Germans until 2010, however due to a special clause in his contract he will be able to leave the club a year earlier for just £1m.

Hamburg are thus almost certain to sell their prized asset at the end of the season and a number of Serie A clubs, including Inter and Juventus have been linked.

Yesterday the Bianconeri were associated with a swap deal including Argentine flop Sergio Almiron, who has been a huge disappointment in Turin since signing from Empoli.

Either way it seems that Van der Vaart is ready to sign for Claudio Ranieri’s men if they come in with a serious offer.

Look at the players we've transferred this season and take a gander at where they are today. Grygera lost his spot for Zebina (who thought that was coming???), Boumsong is back (but who cares) while the rest of the clowns are also on the bench (Almiron, etc). Why bring in more players if you're not gonna use them?? Tiago has had plenty of opportunities to feature but Ranieri claims he's got fitness problems. With 4 games left before the break, why even bother?? He's gonna be out of shape when he gets back and the cycle will start over again, if he isn't transferred. At this point, let's use him as a trading chip and see who we can get for him. I'm sure we'll get someone Ranieri likes. I'm in complete shock though. Supposedly this team is supposed to be revamped but so far Juve have played their best with all the veterans, not including Molinaro. The only transfer that's been useful so far is Iaquinta (who thought that was coming too??)

Juventus And Parma Set To Exchange Players According to Italian daily sports newspaper Tuttosport, Juventus are interested in obtaining the services of Luca Cigarini from Parma, but to do so they are ready to let new signing Bernardo Almiron leave.

Following the disappointing season of both Tiago and Almiron, the Bianconeri are searching for a new midfield player who can offer good cover until the end of the season.

The Old Lady has found this player in Parma's young midfielder Cigarini who has been impressing with his club so far in the season.

President Tommaso Ghirardi does not want cash for his star players, but other quality players in order to remain competitive. For this reason, Juventus are ready to offer Almiron in exchange for Cigarini.

This move would also offer the Argentinean midfielder the possibility to re-discover himself in a more serene environment, considering that the player was seen as one of the best midfielders in Serie A up to last season.

No negotiations have been set up yet, but a meeting between the two clubs is expected to occur in the first week of January.
