from what i've seen and heard of strootman, he's a comparable player to niggaolian. primarily a holding midfielder that's good at breaking up play, but has a great engine that allows him to play box-to-box.

De Rossi is available for the right price and Marquinhos can be had for €25m. Fucking wonderful. This Osvaldo business is the stuff of juveniles. Have him show up for training, his teammates will rag on him, then he will accept the transfer. That sounds like something you dolts would come up with on Football Manager. This club is a joke. Everybody take a good look at Walter Sabatini's less than impressive career as an executive and ask yourself why the hell was he brought to Roma. How this guy has not been run out of town is a mystery to me. Baldini leaves and this is what we are stuck with.

I say he same thing every summer. The season is over before it begins.

Yes, I was going to post something this morning on that, Davit - the way it's being couched in various places does suggest that they think of Eriksen as an alternative to Pjanic rather than a partner, whereas I reckon you'd like to see a DDR-Eriksen-Pjanic midfield. I think they think Pjanic is finally the more gifted player, which I imagine is right technically, but Eriksen may have the better engine.

Still not yet 18 years old (his birthday is November 28), but with experience well beyond his years. Tin Jedvaj is what the French would call an "enfant prodige". This talented youth seems almost predestined. One thing is certain though; young players this good are rarely seen on the field at the professional level. His résumé shows over a dozen games played with Dinamo Zagreb’s first team as well as a goal scored against Cibalia. Just to make things clear, Jedvaj was born in 1995. In Italy, most players his age are preparing for the 2013/14 season in the Primavera league, but obviously Jedvaj is not your average player. A central defender with a strong physical presence (6’2” tall), yet blessed with the ability to elegantly dispossess his opponents. In his home country he has garnered comparisons to Paolo Maldini; it’s a lot to live up to, but this youngster is certainly not one to shy away from the challenge.

Marcos not with team on the way to retraining camp. . Looks as though he's good as gone. But we will have Nani or Gervinho and the play in the EPL which is the greatest league in the world. So they must be good.

Disaster. I was sort of dismissing speculation over his future as I naturally want him to stay, but this is a bad sign. A very bad sign.

His agent said yesterday that "no offers have been made and the boy wants to stay at Roma", so it would seem like its the club who want to push through a transfer and cash in. Cant see sense in selling him now. He's already established as one of best young defenders in Europe and he only just turned 19, he will only get better and be a future superstar. Even wait until next season and he's in his 20's and you'd get much more for him.
