worddd up bruh. i was looking at some of the more popular italian language roma pages on facebook, and at first it seemed bizzare to me that 8 out of every 10 'tifosi' were hating on ddr. there was a photo of tachtsidis screaming at one of his teammates and the most popular comment on the picture went something like "look at the grinta this monster has. and yet roma prefers a guy who only plays for the national team and gives him 6 million." but if you think about it, anything but that sort of attitude from most of the tifosi would be bizarre. i can not blame de rossi for, at the very least, thinking about this decision. it is all hanging by one small portugese thread.

DDR is a very good player but he must be used properly to truly shine. He suffers from any comparison with Totti. One because Totti is god-touched in a way that DDR is not. You can watch Totti for 5 minutes during any game and tell he's a gifted player.

Totti is also a far more "simple" man than DDR. DDR is as loyal (so far) to Roma as Totti is, but his answer to the questions sounds different.

Let's put it think way though, had DDR been the older of the two and the symbol of Rome, Totti would have left long ago.

i actually think DDR has shown more loyalty to roma than totti has. if totti had had such poor and unfitting coaches in his pomp, he would have left. he wasn't even 20 when one of those hit, and even though bianchi only lasted a couple of months, he was an inch away from moving to amsterdam. de rossi has handled the situation as a great professional but more importantly extraordinary romanista, but the tifosi are often blinded by a player's form as totti also knows.

when our game went to the shitter in february i still wanted zeman to stay, because he was bringing out of totti what no other manager in the world could. i was terribly wrong and almost selfish - every minute ZZ spent in Rome was a minute fewer DDR would spend in the roma shirt. i would much rather watch the totti of 2011-12, who is still fucking brilliant, and keep DDR. for daniele's sake i hope garcia is not one mistake too many.

Let's hope after years of idealist that Rudi is a pragmatist. If he is, then for footballing and PR reasons he'll make DDR a focal point.

He seems to be saying all the right things. Now let's hope he follows that up with the right moves.

Wow, bit of a shocker from Venditti. It sums up the way our new management has been heading, though. If they were to lose those anthems it would drive a bigger wedge between the old and the new.

Its looks like as the club were actually looking to get a new anthem. Wtf are they thinking?

“I am saying this because there was a rumour going round that the club had commissioned a new anthem. I’m here to tell them go ahead, it’s not a problem. I would like the people to be allowed to participate more in this Roma."
