FORMER Rangers star Rino Gattuso has revealed how his career is all at sea -after casting his net into the fishing industry. The AC Milan and Italy star has ploughed his own cash into a new £2.5million venture to breed, cleanse and sell crayfish such as lobsters and mussels in his hometown Corigliano Calabro. His dad Franco has converted a disused warehouse in the southern Italian port and will work full-time on the new business.

But it's the involvement of Gattuso that has captured the imagination in Italy as the midfielder - nicknamed The Snarling Dog - tries to build a life away from football. Gattuso was at Ibrox for 18 months after signing as a teenager in 1997.
Now the 28-year-old is a World Cup winner who will face Celtic and Scotland next year in the Champions League and the Euro 2008 qualifiers respectively.
He said: "The idea came from my family but it's a business, not a charity or some work from my heart.

"I believe in investing my money in the south of Italy. I come from there and just because I have left does not mean I have forgotten my roots." Gattuso has never forgotten his spell in Scotland and insisted his time at Rangers moulded him into the player he is today - labelling Scotland coach Walter Smith as a "second father" to him. And his latest enterprise follows on from the launch of his own charitable organisation three years ago - which was set up to help the needy children of southern Italy.

Two years ago he also released his autobiography "The Truth About Rino" with £150,000 of its proceeds going toward building an old folks home." Gattuso also shrugged off stories that AC Milan are in crisis - and warned they'll bounce back in the New Year.

AC Milan star to open bank

International footballers are rolling in it right? They're a bank manager's dream.

So it's with little surprise but a great deal of respect that we learn that AC Milan defender Kakha Kaladze has decided to cut out the middle man.

Georgia international Kaladze has decided he is going to open his own bank.

The 29-year-old, a former transfer target for Chelsea, has applied for a banking licence to the Georgian authorities.

'His application will be reviewed within a month,' a spokesman for the Central Bank explained.

Earlier this year Kaladze said he plans to run for the presidency of his country after his playing career is over.

Gourcuff Not Leaving Milan Milan midfielder Yoann Gourcuff denied the possibility that he will be leaving the team in January for a loan move back in France.

Gourcuff wants to stay at Milan and there is no possibility that he will join another club in the upcoming transfer window as he explained to the weekly magazine "Sport" his intentions on proving his worth with the European Champions and fighting for a first team position.

The 21-year-old midfielder went on to say how he wants to improve further with the Rossoneri's shirt and that he will not accept any offer, even if it comes from a French team in the coming weeks.

Gourcuff is currently with Milan in Japan as the team is preparing for tomorrow's prestigious Club World Cup final. However, the French player is not expected to be in the starting line-up and will find it difficult to break into the first eleven this season.

Zambrotta Set To Move To Milan In January - Report According to TV show 8TV's programme Força Barça, Gianluca Zambrotta will leave Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window in order to move back to Italy.

Zambrotta's marriage to the Blaugrana is coming to an end, according to Catalan television station 8TV, with only the detail of when he will be allowed to leave being the main problem.

However, according to the latest reports from Spain, the Italian wing-back will leave the Catalan giants in January to join AC Milan.

Apparently, the main reason behind his departure from Spain is that he has family problems and therefore he wants to return to Italy as soon as possible.

Barcelona are set to allow the player to leave due to his strong desire to go back to the peninsula, as Zambrotta is himself negotiating the deal which will free him from his current contract.

This will be an important transfer for the Rossoneri who can therefore count on another World Cup winner in their bid to climb back up the standings in Serie A, even though Zambrotta will not be available for the Champions League games since he has already played in the competition for Barcelona this season.

For Barcelona, the search for a new right-back may begin, although Carles Puyol has lately deputised there to good effect.
