and for what it's worth, the 49-year old has managed one club for 4 years, another for 5 and the last for 5 again. now compare that to zeman's record; he managed 19 teams and foggia was the only time he reached those figures.

So, Rudi Garcia. I have to say, I don't share Italiamia's pessimism about him. Thats not to say I'm gonna start drinking a fresh batch of coolaid over the warm summer months, now, so chill the fuck out there, yis bitches. Still, Garca seems ok, I'm willing to give him a shot. Like most I know nothing of him bar the recent articles we've seen lately, and while he may not quite fall outside the category of another 'gamble' or a risk, at least he has achieved success with Lille, as Red pointed out.

I'm glad we didn't get any of the more established, 'household' names which were mooted like Allegri or Blanc, and after Mazzarri went to Inter, and Montella declined, our options were limited. Very disappointed in Monty, and also the lack of interest (by club and party) in Ancelotti, and I can't say I quite understand the reluctance to go for an Italian manager. So with what we have left after all that, things could have been worse. We could have went for Benitez.

Also, wasn't Garcia's name mentioned before, two seasons ago, when Sabatini and Baldini were being all funky and cool and 'thinking outside the box' for someone untainted by the evils of calcio, before settling on LE?

And I wonder, why wasn't Candela's name never mentioned (or was it, I did nae see anyway?) to work as assistant to Garcia, to show him the ropes or whatever, much in the same way as was mentioned with Blanc?

Anyway, let the merry dance begin once again. When it will stop this time, who the fuck knows.
