I wouldn't agree that we have a stronger squad than Milan either. We've spent more money than Milan and we've invested a lot in players for the future, the likes of Lamela, Destro, Marquinhos, Pjanic etc., and you would like to think we're building for the future, with a mix of young talent, senior pros and homegrown players. But we're still missing a number of important players in important positions. Compare that to Milan were you have an established squad full of experienced, seasoned pros, albeit mixed with talented youth as well, who qualified for the CL and had a good run in the CL were they beat Barcelona. Could our lads beat Barca? They also can attract players on bigger wages.

For all Pjanic's talent he's been very ineffective 80% of the time he plays. You can argue he's used wrong, you can't argue with the results.

and SES has scored near 15% more goals in the same time and is younger than Lamela.

And they have a much better GKer.

I'd say we have the second strongest squad in Italy, as many punters have observed over the course of the season. With Mazzarri or Allegri as coach we'd have finished second or third. Fact.
