Baldini needs to show Osvaldo the door. And Sabatini needs to find some players without the fucking attitude problems. I've been vocal in my criticism of AA's time on the bench, but I respect him and haven't envied him in his work recently. He's a Roma man and someone who seems diligent in his duties and committed to trying his best. Osvaldo is neither. He's an over-paid mercenary who cares more about celebrity and himself than anything else.

I don't want to say anything about the shambles that I went to see yesterday, other than the fact the the only highlights were the people around me (who deserve better), the impressive pyrotechnic response to Lazio's silly painting and the Curva's abuse of Psy.

The Curva abused PSv? Excellent, I've always hated them Dutch dopes. Ever since they beat us that time in the Europa League. And Van Bommel.

So no Europa League or European football for us next season. Whatever your attitude is toward the EL, and if you feel it is more of a pesky hindrance than anything else, I'd say our owners will be pissed off more about that than the fact that we lost some silly cup to our sworn enemies and have to live with that fact for the whole summer and beyond. Not much point in trying to sell the brand across the globe and release official statements saying we want to become the "biggest club in the world" if we can't even qualify for the second tier of European football competition, year after year.

Priorities. Its all about priorities. The team is all over the shop. Leaderless, manager-less, discipline-less. Get the fucking shit together in the dressing room first, weed out the bad apples (not Erik), then try get it right on the pitch, once and for all. If we can manage that, and its a massive if, then worry about fucking branding the fucking logo or talking us up like we're Barca.

Haha. Perhaps. But if you're taking background into account, the shady career politician with links to the far right who hails from Bari has turned the capital into a dirty, chaotic dump full of oppressive police presence and little else in the way of civic enterprise. Following that, the promise of a worldly man with Swiss roots who made a name for himself in a field requiring the utmost intelligence, cleanliness and attention to detail is at least interesting.

The general "fuck it" attitude that's infected this city over the last number of years is distressing. Laziness and selfishness are like two cancers eating away at the place, so perhaps it's fitting there's been a surgeon elected.

As for his attitude to the stadium, I'm sure he'll be onside. It's good business and easy way to win support. Even for a man new to politics, that's a no-brainer. Maybe he'll get them into Flaminio. And then pigs will fly, hell will freeze over, and Roma will finish second in the league.

Hard not to sympathise with Osvaldo, though, right? Did AA do any work at any stage on attacking schemes? The only thing which looked vaguely like two players knowing what the other was going to do was the way Lamela tucked inside to allow Marquinhos to get in the cross that Destro headed wide, but that was about as sophisticated as Robben's right foot. AA's been terrible - no consistency, no gioco, no development. And yet he's still had a better points-per-game ratio than Zeman? A player of Osvaldo's quality deserves better than to be mistreated by such clowns.

Sympathise with Osvaldo? Is that a joke? Sympathise with him? The man is a disgrace to himself and to this club, and he should never be allowed to wear the maglia again.

AA didn't focus much on attacking play, that is clear enough. We've looked totally clueless in going forward, even more so when Pjanic isn't on the pitch (or when DDR and Bradley are), and have had to rely mostly on individual moments of brilliance (something which was blatantly exposed yesterday). But that doesn't in anyway make me want to sympathise with any player. You don't see Destro or Totti or Lamela talking shit.

Also no need to mention ZZ again. If anything, he had a relationship with him which worked in favour for Osvaldo.

He's too good, too, to be messed around by a clown like Prandelli. He should tell him to go and stick it up his arse and make himself available for Argentina instead.

Totti, Lamela, and Destro at least had a fair chance to do their own stinking it up on the pitch. Osvaldo had to watch on and then when he did come on, he had to play in a formation completely bereft of tactical shape. Little wonder he was so frustrated. He just articulated what all of us were thinking.
